Arc 4 Chapter 40: Undying Love

Sun's body fell to the ground right beside the lifeless Jun.

All was quiet in the surrounding area except for the rhythmic tempo of the waterfall.

Four bodies lay littered on the ground.

The sky grew cloudy till not even a ray of sun could be seen, only murky clouds remained.

Suddenly a certain green gem cracked shattering into nothing but dust.

*RUMBLE

It was at that moment that suddenly the earth viciously trembled, it was as if the world was experiencing a new powerful force!

A pair of glowing red powerful eyes opened, they shone the color of blood.

A lone young man stood up, confused as he looked towards the cloudy sky, his head hurt as if he was forgetting something.

Who... who was he?

His skin felt burning to the touch as returning strength coursed throughout his body. It was foreign but strangely familiar, however the power still didn't feel... complete?

What... did he forget?

Suddenly the young man felt a splitting headache, he wanted to remember but couldn't everything was jumbled.

The only thing he could remember was a lone voice calling out to him before he woke up. Who?

A singly bright ray of light suddenly shone threw the clouds.

"...Sun." Immediately Jun remembered, they had been in the middle of a battle, he had been stabbed yet now he felt nothing as he stood tall.

Although his robes were still fresh with blood, his wound...was gone?

"Where...? Where is she!?"

All in a moment Jun grew terribly panicked, he wondered where the woman was he couldn't sense her anywhere! 

His panic didn't last long, looking down he saw it.

There lay her body on the ground...

Why couldn't he sense her- he didn't let his mind answer that as he slowly approached.

"...sun?" Jun softly called out as though awakening a lover.

"...."

No answer was heard. 

All was dead silent.

Again Jun softly called but this time with a little more force.

"Sun?"

"...." Still no answer came.

Suddenly Jun kneeled down.

"Ah, I-I know you must be tired, but you can't just sleep here, let me help you back to the summit."

As he went down to grab her body and lift her into his arms his fingers brushed across her overly cold hand.

*BAM

In the next moment, a ferocious deadly aura erupted out everywhere!

The air became suffocating and painful as the ground once again began to frantically tremble, it was almost as if it too was scared of such a powerful and deadly energy.

The trees swayed viciously while the wind turned violet and chilling!

Everything shook violently atop the summit, the man's face grew shadowed and indiscernible.
