Chapter 11

Leah's POV:

Great. Today is Monday. My mood is already miserable and now we have chemistry. Even more great.

At least Maggie and Shawn are also in this class now. I walk into the classroom and sit down at my usual spot next to Maggie.

I start to do the homework I forgot to do or more like I was too lazy to do. I look to the door as Maggie walks in, behind her Shawn.

He waves to me and sits down on his table. "Hey Leah!" Maggie says grinning. "Hey Maggie, how can you be so happy on a Monday morning?" I say furrowing my eyebrows.

"I don't know. Chemistry isn't that bad when you sit beside me" she laughs probably thinking about all the things that went wrong with our experiments.

I laugh turning back to do the rest of my homework. "Good morning class" our teacher Mr. Walker says coming in. "Today we are going to pair you up for a big project, which will be very important for your grade." he adds earning groans from all the students.

I look around the class. I hope I get to work with Shawn because that means we have to spend a lot of time together. The teacher starts to name all the students who will work together.

"Betty and Melanie, Jason and Andrew, Maggie and Jackson, Shawn and Leah..." I didn't even listen to the rest. I was smiling like an idiot.
Don't flip out now Leah.

"Ugh. Seriously Jackson?" Maggie says. "I'm sorry for you but I'm sure he will do everything you want" I reply winking to cheer her up a bit.

She just laughs drawing something into her book. I look over to Shawn. He looks at Maggie. Why is he looking at her all the time? He sees me staring and starts to smile giving me a thumbs up.

I chuckle turning back to the teacher. I notice how Jackson is smirking at Maggie but Stefanie looks like she is about to murder her "Good luck Maggie" I laugh pointing towards Stefanie.

She sighs letting her head fall onto the table. "About the sleepover. You can come over around 7 o'clock?" I ask patting her head. "Yeah sure" she says smiling.

Shawns POV:
A project? I sigh supporting my head with one hand. What if I get to work with Maggie? That would be perfect to wait for the right moment to tell her!

I look around noticing how Jackson looks at her. I hate him so much! He is such an asshole but Maggie still always talks with him. I don't get it.

My thoughts got interrupted by the teacher saying our names. "Jason and Andrew, Maggie and Jackson, Shawn and Leah..." Wait, what?!

No. Maggies partner is Jackson? I stare at him angrily. He already has this stupid grin on his face. Seriously! I look over to Maggie. She just smiles at Leah. Doesn't it bother her? Ugh.

I notice that Leah is staring at me. Oh right, she is my partner. Well at least that's something good. I smile at her and turn back to the teacher.

After chemistry and three other awful hours of school. I head to the cafeteria with Luc. I tell him about the project and he just laughs at me.

"It's not funny! " I say annoyed. "Shawn, you really think that Maggie would want something from Jackson?" "No.... I don't know." I answer pusing the door to the cafeteria open.

There I see Maggie sitting at our table. But she's not alone. A boy with dark hair is sitting across from her. "Aiden?" Luc shouts walking towards them.
