Maggie's POV:
The rest of the day went by pretty fast, so now I am sitting in my room while staring at a blank piece of paper. Normally drawing lets me forget everything around me for a while but this time nothing helps.

Nothing can fill this empty feeling and I just don't know what to do. I wonder what Shawn is doing right now. Did he already forget me? I laugh dryly at my thoughts. I was at his house again today.

Aaliyah opened the door and told me he's not home. As always. Does she even know about our break up? I look at the clock and sigh, putting my pounding head into my hands. Tears threaten to fall but I suck in a deep breath. I can't cry all the time.

It's already dark outside but I can't keep sitting here. At least I don't have to worry about Melly at the time. She visits our aunt in England for a few days.

Quickly, I put on a hoodie and a warm jacket along with my winter boots. The icy air hits my face as I step out of the door. I put my headphones in and start to walk trough the streets a bit.

The beautifully colored leaves are almost completely fallen off each tree, now laying on the rain drenched ground. I don't like this part of autumn. Everything seems so cold and dreary. I walk further, letting my feet carry me wherever they want.

I find myself in  the park. I sit down on a bench for a while just thinking. It probably looks weird that I'm here alone but no one sees me anyways. „Maggie?" I hear from behind, almost giving me a heart attack. „Sorry I didn't want to scare you." Damian chuckles.

I smile at him and move so he can sit down. „What are you doing here so late?" I ask, suspiciously. „Just going for a walk." he shrugs. „What about you?" „Same." I answer, looking on the floor again. „Can I ask you something?" he asks, now gazing into my eyes.

I nod waiting for him to continue. „What happened to you and Shawn? You seem so upset... I hate to see you like this." Damian says softly. „Damian don't worry about me okey? I don't want to talk about it." I sigh, avoiding his concerned eyes.

„Shit." I gasp as I how late it is. It's almost 11 pm. Damian watches me confused as I jump onto my feet.

„I have to go now. See you tomorrow!" I shout after him as I start to walk home quickly. „Wait should I bring you home?" he shouts back. „No thank you! It's not that far!" I mean he's really nice but I don't want to be around the reason why Shawn broke with me.

I mean it would be really bad if he sees me with him anywhere. I run the last five minutes of the way home, coming to a stop in front of my house. After I regaining my breath, I press the door handle down with my slightly shaky hand.

Aron's car is in the driveway that means he's home from his „business trip". Let's hope he's in a good mood. I take my jacket and shows off before sneaking up into my room. As I was about to enter, I hear a loud grunt followed by footsteps from the livingroom.

„Don't even think I didn't hear you. Come down here. Now." he calls out. I quietly curse myself for coming home late and I also didn't clean the house. Why am I so stupid! I knew he would come home today! „Yes?" I ask. The smell of strong alcohol filling the room.

Great he's drunk. Aron turns around gazing me up and down for some moments before taking a sip from his drink. „Where were you?" „I-I was just going for a walk." I stutter, not daring to look into his piercing eyes.

„This late?" he asks, taking a step closer to me, causing me to automatically take a step back. „The house isn't cleaned either. You know I don't like your behavior lately." he growls, his hand cupping my chin harshly. I try back away but his grip is preventing me from it.

„What am I gonna do with you little brat?" Aron slurs, letting go of my chin again. „I did-." My words got cut of by a burning feeling in my cheek. He slapped me.

I squeeze my eyes shut tight as he walks over to the kitchen counter again. I don't want to seem weak. „Did I say you could talk?" He fills his cup again and downs it all at once. „Maybe I should practice throwing. Last time I missed..." he trails of and was about to turn around as I realize what he means.

Quickly, I jump to the side, the empty glass shattering in the wall beside me. My breath quickens and I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes again. „Well..." he laughs coldly. Aron turns again, probably grabbing the bottle but as his back faces me, I run upstairs.
