Chapter One

It started when I was 7 years old and my Mamu predicted that I will meet him soon. Pero kailan? It's been eight long years!

I always dreamt of him when my birthday approaches. We started out as kids on a playground talking and playing and I can still recall that dream.

Naglalaro ako sa may playground at may nakita akong batang lalaki sa may see-saw at nilapitan ko siya.

"Hi! Gusto mo ng kalaro?" Napansin ko na napaka-cute ng bata at mukhang anak foreigner.

"Sure." Tapos ngumiti siya.

Nang nagsawa kami sa see-saw ay sa swing naman kami tapos nagkwentuhan tungkol sa mga laruan namin. Mahilig ako sa dolls at siya naman ay sa mga toy cars.

"Itulak mo ako! Wheee!" Napansin kong natigil ang patulak at lumingon ako. Nahihirapan siyang huminga at bumababa ako para lapitan siya.

"Ano nangyayari sa iyo?"

"I just got tired easily."

"May masakit ka ba?" Tanong ko at napailing lang siya tapos tumayo na.

"It was nice meeting you. Bye bye!"
Sabi niya at tumakbo papalayo.

"Aalis ka na? Si Kace pala pangalan ko!" Pero hindi na ata niya narinig at siya'y nawala parang bula.

Ikinuwento ko ito kina Mamu at Mama noon pati na rin sa dalawang matalik kong kaibigan na sina Mauricio at Ria. Every year na lang ko siyang napapaginipan and as years go by he grows more handsome and the weirdest thing is I always forgot to ask his name.

Ngayon na palapit na ang 15th birthday ko, I know I will dream of him tonight. I took a bath, changed into my favorite pajamas and nagpabango. I closed my eyes and immediately fell asleep.

"Hi Kace, I have been waiting for you." He smiled and I feel myself blush.

"I have been meaning to ask you if pwede tayo magkita sa totoong buhay?" Tanong ko sa kanya habang naglalakad kami sa may dalampasigan and he stopped then smiled. The scene was changed into a coffeeshop and he opened the door.

"Come and let's have coffee first." He motioned me to come in. He also pulled out the chair so I can seat.

"Ang daya bakit ikaw lang lagi ang nkakapagpalit ng scenes sa dream natin?" I asked and pouted.

"Because this is my dream and I tried researching why but there is nothing that can explain this phenomenon."
He said as he stirred his coffee.

"Iyon din ipinagtataka ko pero going back, pwede ba tayong magkita? For real?"

"Why do you want us to meet when we can meet through our dreams?" He cocked his eyebrows teasing.

Of course kasi ang gwapo mo at gusto na kitang makita. Magustuhan niya kaya ako sa totoong buhay?

"Well kasi matagal na tayong nagkikita dito so why not in the real world di ba?"

"I guess it's time then. I know there's a famous coffee shop outside your school called Brewmance."

"Sige! I will wait for you there! Kelan naman?"

"Alright, let us meet there on your birthday. Around 2 in the afternoon perhaps?"

"Wheee! I can't wait!" I'm super excited! Hindi ko muna sasabihin kina Ria at Maui baka mausog.

"It's a date then. Can't wait to see you too." He pinched my cheeks.
