Kailangan ko nang umuwi kasi di ako mapakali and I feel uncomfortable around Matt after the kiss.

I felt like I cheated on Chase at gusto kong magtoothbrush or mag-gargle. Hindi naman bad breath si Matt pero I don't want the memory of his kiss on my lips. It was just so wrong!

"Hey Kara wait..." Narining kong sabi ni Matt sa likod ko while we were walking. Mabilis akong naglalakad kasi I'm too pissed to talk right now.
Nilapastangan niya ang lips ko na dapat para lang kay Chase.

"Can you stop please?" He said. There was a hint of irritation on his voice. Napatigil ako sa paglalakad dahil boss ko pa rin siya kahit papano.

"I'm tired. I want to go home." I replied and pouted.

"I am sorry for offending you but I am not sorry for kissing you and declaring my feelings like some high school. I hope you won't runaway and avoid me." He sighed.

"I like you Matt. I really do but I can't love you back. You deserve someone better. Let's be friends only, kay?"

"Okay. Fine. As long as I get to be with you. Come on let's get you home."

Naalala ko na dapat din pala kaming magkita ni mommy for my birthday dinner so dadaanan ko na lang siya.

"Errr... I think I want to visit mommy."

Nagpaalam ako kay Matt and rode a cab to my mommy's flat.

As I went to open the door, I heard my mother and a man talking. I leaned in the door so I can hear their conversation.

"It's not fair that you said that to her. She's you're daughter."Sabi ng lalaki.

"I know pero di ko maiwasan na gawin iyon. If di ko sasabihin na ganon malamang ay hindi siya sumama sa akin dito."

"He will not take her away from you."

Sino ang kukuha sa akin? Si Chase?

"Ayaw ko na kunin siya sa akin ni Eduardo at Lucia. Alam mo naman kung bakit di ba?"

Eduardo? Lucia the lunatic? Di ko ma-gets ang pinagsasabi ni Mommy.

"Hindi niya makukuha si Kace sa iyo, Karina. Mahal ka ng anak mo at ang pagsisinungaling sa kanya ay hindi tama." Marahang sagot ng lalaki.

"Alam ko at sana hindi niya malaman na wala naman pala akong cancer.
Ayaw ko lang siya na makita ni Eduardo. This is my revenge for leaving me and his daughter."

Hindi ako makapaniwala sa ginawa ni Mommy at bigla kong binuksan ang pinto. Nakita ko ang pagkagulat ni Mommy at ang kasama niyang lalaki who was the doctor that was "treating" her.

"So that was it Mommy? You ruined my life so you can have your revenge on my father? How selfish of you!"
I cried.

"Kara, it's not what you think... Let me explain..." Tumayo siya at hinawakan ang kamay ko pero tinapik ko.

"No more explanations, mommy. Uuwi na ako sa Pilipinas. Tama na ang pagpapanggap na ito. Sana nagkatotoo na lang na may cancer ka?!" I retorted and burst out of the room.

"Anak! Pakinggan mo naman ako..."

I didn't look back as I ran out her flat.
I hailed a cab and went home. For two effin years she lied to me! Iniwan ko si Mama Cel at Tita Prissy, si Chase at mga kaibigan ko just to be with her during her so called sickness and it was all for naught!
