Chapter Fifty Seven

It was embarassing! Tinuringan pa naman kaming professionals but then again we are just girls. Cat fights are always "normal."

Kita ko ang pagkagulat ng may-ari at ni Matt. Pinaka-hate pa naman ni Matt ang mga unprofessional.

"What is this Kara? Tasha? And who is she?!" Matt roared.

"Matt, I am really sorry! We are the victims here! This nobody was harassing Kara." Natasha said and crossed her arms defiantly.

"Who are you calling Nobody?! FYI I am Veronica Reyes! I am the real victim here! This woman is stealing my fiance!" Veronica screeched.

"What?! Is this true Kara?" Matt asked his voice becoming soft as he addressed to me.

"She's Chase's fiancee. Why would I steal him when he was the one sought me?" I challenged Veronica.

"You are damn right bebe gurl!" Sabat naman ni Tasha.

"You shut up bitch!" Veronica spat.

"Enough! I want the three of you in the office now!" Matt thundered and we all went with him.

"Miss Reyes, I will not have this kind of behavior during the shoot. Whatever your grudges against Kara, you can forget it. Kara is the main endorser here as she is the top supermodel along with Natasha if you have forgotten." Sabi ni Matt na may hint of insult kay Veronica na lumaki ang mata.

"Siya nga naman Veronica. Let's all be professionals here. If not, you will no longer be part of this." Narinig kong sabi ni Mr. Benny Chung ang may-ari ng B.A.R.E.

"Fine!" Ang tanging sagot ni Veronica na tila napahiya. Pinandilatan niya ng mata si Natasha na nakangiti tila isang Chesire cat.

Lumabas na kami ngunit pinigilan ako ni Matt.

"Kara wait..." Lumingon ako sa kanya at hinila niya ang aking kamay.

"What is it? I apologize for the scene earlier, okay? Veronica and I had been enemies since time immemorial."

"It's okay. I understand. Did you get hurt?" His voice filled with concern and it's making me guilty.

"I'm fine. Don't worry." Nagulat ako nang bigla niya akong niyakap.

"You know how much I care for you right? I won't let her near you." He murmured against my hair.

"I know, Matt. It's just that..."

"I love you okay? I hate it seeing you get hurt." He hugged me tighter and nuzzling my neck.

"Stop it. I can fight my own battles. Let's go." I said and pushed him away.

Lingid sa kaalaman ko may nakasaksi pala sa pag-uusap namin ni Matt.

I know I should have explained to Kara the reason for my hasty retreat but I was in a hurry. My flight was early and I wasn't able to pack yet.

My parents and I had a truce. It was not like the mushy scene but I am glad that there was no more bickering. They are still cold and distant but we talk like normal people so I guess that's a miracle.
