Dinala ako ni Mommy sa kwarto niya na may double deluxe single beds. She won't let me out of her sight daw. I feel so angry, confused and hurt right now. I went to bed without bothering to change.

Tears were streaming down my face as I look at the ring on my finger. It was a beautiful engagement ring and the best gift I ever received but I don't feel like celebrating.

Naramdaman kong tumunog ang phone ko and saw I got a lot of texts and calls but I opened the message from Chase.

From: Chase Curls

Don't wori Honey. I'll b back 2morow. Hang on der. I love u.

I kissed my phone kasi siya yung wallpaper ko. Somehow the gesture soothed me then I fell asleep.

Nagising ako at andoon ako sa Brewmance.

"Hi Kace. Missed me?" Nakita ko si Chad and he opened his arms beckoning me for a hug.

"Cchhhaad? Bakit? Minumulto mo ba ako?!" I stepped into his arms and gave me a bearhug.

"As a matter of fact, yes." Hinampas ko ang braso niya.

"Grabe ka ha?! Ano ba kasalanan ko?"

"Soon you'll know." He gave me a sad smile at nagising ako sa tunog ng pagkatok sa pinto.

"Kailangan na natin mag-usap, Karina." Narining kong sabi ni Mama Cel mula sa pinto.

Binuksan ni Mommy ang pinto at nakita kong kasama niya si Chase at Tita Priscila.

"Ano ito Mama?" Hindi sinagot ni Mama Cel si Mommy at dumiretso sa loob ng kwarto.

We all sat in the sofa at tumabi ako kay Chase holding his hand at masakit ang tingin ni Mommy sa akin.

"Karina, nakikiusap ako bilang ina mo na hayaan na si Kace dito sa Pilipinas. She's an adult and let her choose her own life."

"Ma, I need her there with me and I know she will have a better future there! At anong ginagawa ng lalaking yan dito?"

"I am here to formally ask your daughter's hand in marriage. I love her and will not allow her to leave."

"You are really persistent are you?"

"Yes. Anything to keep her with me. With us."

"Ate, please understand... Why not let Kace decide? I mean you never stood in her way before? Why this all of the sudden?"

"I have nothing to explain to all of you. I'm sorry Ma pero this is me and my daughter's life. This is final and we will be leaving in three days. If you have nothing else to say, please leave." Sabi ni Mommy at tumayo na.

"Ano ba ang nangyayari sa iyo Karina?!" Galit na tanong ni Mama Cel.

"Ma, I need to go." Hinawakan siya sa kamay ni Mama Cel.

Nagugulat ako sa inaasal ni Mommy kay Mama Cel. What is wrong with her?!

"Napaka-ingrata mo! Di ko inaasahan na gaganitohin mo kami Karina!"

"I'm sorry Ma pero nothing will sway my decisions."

Nakita ko biglang tumayo si Chase tapos lumuhod sa harap ni Mommy.
