We were to leave for Ireland in the evening. So Dmitri left home in the morning. He had to settle some things before the flight

It was on Sunday. Cole and I were having our moment together at the beach. I was to leave him for some days. Funny how I trusted Grandma with him.

"I don't think you like the idea anyway." Cole pouted as he gathered some beach sand to build something. His statement drew me back to the discussion we had been having.

He was suggesting he get a dog he would be taking care of while in the mansion. Dmitri was spoiling him. He had asked Cole to ask for anything. So Cole was begging me to let him have a dog.

"You will mostly be in school, so I don't think a dog is a nice idea."

"I want a dog." His voice was low as he murmured it again. He surely wanted one.

I was about to speak when a phone rang. I fished for it thinking it from my pants pocket.  My body tensed when I realized it was the phone from the mysterious guy.

I knew I needed to tell Dmitri about it, but there was still something strange about a guy giving me a phone. I knew Dmitri was rich, so maybe this guy was one of his enemies.

I had saved his number as X. I did not know where that came from but that was the only letter that came first when I was saving the number.

After a moment of hesitation, I answered. "Hello?"

There was some cool music playing in the background. "I can see you are, after all, in a desire to know more from me. Inna Grace Ruslan," A deep voice filled my ears causing a shiver to run down my spine.

"I was actually waiting for your call so I can inform you about a few things." I declared in a serious tone. "Whatever you want to tell me, keep it. In fact, I will have this phone delivered back to the restaurant. I don't know what you want."

"I only want one thing," He voiced and I twisted my fist.

"And you think I would–"

"You give what I want, and I give you something you need."

I scoffed as I ran my fingers through my hair. "I usually find men of your type coward and pathetic." I glared at innocent waters. "Grow some balls and face your problem without involving me!"

"Regina Nikita." He uttered and I won't lie, I tensed at the mention of grandma. "She knows something that I desire. And I will get it through you."

"I'm not doing it–"

He cut me short. "Your mother," he was quiet for a moment as I sighed in frustration. It was clear that he knew information about me. "I know where she is."

I snapped.

That moment you aren't interested and all of a sudden, you get curious. My mother? This creepy guy knew my mother was missing and he knew where she was?
