I exit school and decide to go to my favorite oak tree instead of going home. I walk down the street for about five minutes before I see the giant source of shade. I sigh happily and lay back with my head on the bark. My peace lasts about .2 seconds.

I chuckle and shut off my phone before standing up, slinging my backpack over my shoulder, and beginning the walk home.

"Jacky you're home!" I chuckle and pick up Mary and swing her around gently. I carry her and she wraps her legs around my sides. "Hi cupcake! How was your day? Were you good for James?" She nods "We went to the park and got snowballs! James said daddy won't be home until tomorrow he has a work t-tip?" I chuckle, "Trip?" She nods and repeats trip three times. I lift her out of my arms and onto the couch. "I have to go somewhere later. You'll be good?" "Mhm!" I smile. "Okay, I'll be upstairs if you need me. Love you cupcake!" "Love you too!"
