It's been a while since me and Alex have known each other and I think I'm finally ready to admit my feelings for him. Now, I want to get to know him a little longer, but I'm ready to officially start talking. I know, I know, it doesn't sound like a big deal but it is to me.

I decide I should tell my friends about it mostly because I can't think of how to do it.

Elizas POV:

It's a been a month or so since I've had feelings for Alexander and I'm finally ready to tell him. I'm almost confident he likes me back, but I need a second opinion, or a third.

"Angie, Peggy, can you come in here please?" I shout.

A few seconds later my younger sister bursts through my bedroom door, with my older sister close behind.

"Yes, weakling?" I roll my eyes at Peggy and sigh.

"I, um, like Alexander. And I'm ready to ask him out. What do you think?"

I see Peggy blink and stare blankly at me before she reaches out her phone and fast-texts someone. Angelica just looks down at the floor and I tilt my head.

"If you...if you like him I think you should go for it." She says, plastering on a smile which is obviously fake. I give her a small smile and turn to Peggy who's put her phone away.

"I uh- I'm not sure, Liza. I think he might like someone else." I shoot a glare at my younger sister, who looks down a little bit. "B-but if you wanna, ask him out..I guess." I nod contently and pull out my blue-cased phone.

Alex's POV:

I'm grabbing a box of cookies out of the cabinet as I hear a ding coming from my phone. I pull it out and smile when I see that John texted me. My smile grows even wider when I see what he's written.

JohnnyJohnny: hey lexi so this is gonna be awkward but over the time I've known you I've realized that I like you. like more than a friend should like another friend. I understand completely if you say no but do you want to officially talk?

I feel my face heating up fast, I can't believe he actually likes me back. I'm about to respond when suddenly I get another notification, this time from eliza.

Liza: Hello, Alexander. This may seem sudden but I've liked you since I first saw you, would you go out with me?

My smile falters a bit and I shut off my phone. Well now what? I sigh and throw a pillow across the room before opening the message app.

Youngscrapy: I'm sorry, you're really great but I like someone else. I hope you understand and we can still be friends.

And I send another text.

Youngscrapy: Yes, I would love that. Over the course of us knowing each other I too, have noticed my affections for you only growing.

I smile and close my phone when a few seconds later I get a notification.

Liza: Oh, I'm so happy to hear that! I must go tell my sisters. Goodbye, Alexander!

Wait, huh?

I scroll down the messages when I realize my mistake. Oh, fu.....

JohnnyJohnny: oh. i understand, it's fine. ill text you later hamilton.
