My eyelids were drooping, but I forced myself awake. I saw an elderly woman with a smile on her face, she waved at me.
Odd
"Can I help you?" I hesitantly asked, and she nodded.
"You see, my name is Chitra, and my honor is at stake," Chitra said patiently. "I just had to introduce myself."
"Why?" I raised an eyebrow, and the woman smiled.
"Because, if Shreyas proposes to you and you agree, my company goes poof." Chitra leaned back in her chair.
"What-?" I was startled,
How can a proposal ruin a company?
"You see, that bastard ruined my daughter's life." Chitra looked around and whispered. "So... I'm ruining his life,"
"What does that have to do with me," Mridula sighed with vexation.
"He loves you," Chitra stated simply. "So I'm going to ruin that little relationship."
"Either you break up with him, or the Polio Prevention Wing shuts down." Chitra smiled sweetly but her intentions were anything but sweet.
I needed to choose between my happiness and three other kids' happiness.
