The small village began to quiet down as the darkness started to spread.

The sun had almost completely disappeared as I could feel the faint touch of water droplets hitting my skin, so gently it almost felt like a kiss.

Something has been going on with the weather this week, it's been raining a lot and dark clouds covered the sky.

It felt like something dark was coming our way.

I glanced beside me, seeing how Mattheo was focusing in front of us as his hands were stuffed into the pockets of his jacket.

We walked along the dimly lit street, watching as some shops closed for the night.

"It's right over there." He quickly looked down at me before nodding off towards something in front of us.

I followed his eyes, seeing an unfamiliar dark alley ahead of us.

"You're not trying to kill me or something, right?" I looked up a little sideways towards him as he was walking by my side, almost so close that our shoulders were colliding.

He shrugged a little. "Haven't really thought about it yet."

I glared at him as I saw him still looking forward, but the small smile on his lips kinda gave the answer away.

"I'll kill you first." I muttered as I was still looking at him.

"I'm sure you will." He mumbled out teasingly before looking at me for a split second. "Eyes up front, darling."

He placed his hand on my head as he turned it so I looked in front of me. It was just in time before I'd walk straight into the door that had suddenly opened from a house beside us.

He laughed a little at me as I glared at him while taking a step closer to him, walking beside the door rather than walking into it.

"Shut up." I mumbled out while folding my arms across my chest, regretting the fact that I didn't bring a jacket.
