Salma wiped down the standing mirror before looking at the stand. The cup made of clay caught her eye.

She had been curious about it ever since she started sleeping in this room but unfortunately she didn't get a chance to ask him about it.

She picked it up and looked at it. It's very pretty but also very ordinary. Why would he keep it there?

The knock on the door startled her and she dropped the cup and it fell and broke into pieces.

She moved away from the mess and walked to the door and opened it.

"What is it Basira?"

"What is it Basira?"

"Hajiya it's boss's nieces and nephews who came. You know today is Friday and they will stay the weekend here"

Salma nodded "oh right I totally forgot they will spend the weekends here. Is everyone here?"

"Yes all except for Samir who they said had a bit of an accident at school today"

"How about the rooms? Are the rooms prepared?"

"Yes I have made them ready"

"Good however it is important for the kids to learn the act of sharing so make sure it's two per room."

"Yes hajiya"

"Why didn't you call?"

"Oh I wanted to but they took off the light just when I started charging my phone."

She nodded "next time just use the landline"

"Okay. I am sorry"

"It's fine. When you leave take the dirty water out. The bucket is in the living room"

She packed the cup and left to her side of the house where she heard the noise from the first door.

She opened the door and entered inside. She saw them all around the large living room.

"Momma Ina wuni!!!!" The kids yelled in unison.

She smiled "lafiya kalau welcome"

"Momma where is Samir?" Yahaya (Sahla's ten year old son) asked

"Let me call his house and find out"

She dialed Asiya's phone and fortunately she picked up.

"I thought you won't pick up"

Asiya laughed through the phone "how can I not"

"It's your habit to neglect your phone that's why. How are you?"

"Am fine how are you?"

"Alhamdulillah. I didn't see Samir that's why I said let me call and ask if all I well?"

"Wlh salma Samir fell down in the playground at school and dislocated his ankle that's why I didn't send him. He would only be a nuisance to you"

"Subhanallah May he get well soon. I didn't know but I will surely come to see him after the kids leave"
