They entered inside the house one after the other until they were all inside. They were taken to a living room which one could tell belonged to the father of the bride to be.

They stayed for a while but weren't even offered water. Mama who couldn't keep her mouth shut asked.

"It is common curtsy to offer your guest water"

"Did you come to drink water or bring bridal boxes?"

Some men started bringing in the boxes "stop. Return the boxes to the car we won't be leaving them with small people."

They left the house with anger evident in their eyes. Inside the car ya Sahla couldn't talk because of anger.

It was saliha who called Dawood and he answered. She started yelling and venting out her anger.

They arrived at umma's home ten-eleven in the night. Ya Sahla looked at Dawood "where did you meet that girl? Umma did you see the humiliation we suffered from those people?

"Did you come to drink water or bring boxes?"

This phrase has been stuck in my head for over five hours. Wallahi it's not their fault. Had we not gone they wouldn't have humiliated us like that.
