The Land of Forests is a country full of forests, which makes the river the only crossing access. The criminal group Shinobazu was acting around in this country. Gantetsu who was a member of Shinobazu was captured in Ogi Pass and was supposed to be brought to the country's capital for trial. He never made it however, as the ship was attacked by the Shinobazu. He "escaped" and, along with Naruto Uzumaki and another they managed to defeat the Shinobazu. In the end, Gantetsu's name was cleared.

Mori no Kuni has a forest terrain with a main river that runs into the country. Its climate is very temperate with warm and cool seasons. Climates can sometimes be relatively warm and rainy with distinct dry seasons. This country has a mixed forest habitat defined by deciduous, coniferous, and temperate forest biomes. Some areas can reach very cold temperatures with some snow in the winter. Plantation forestry is common in this country.
