51. A New Finding

[•Nuri's POV•]

Ferit bey placed Idris down and he lead me towards the kid's section. "Nuri, my school starts on Monday" He said, "Really? Even my university starts then" "So won't you be able to stay longer at Abi's house then?" He asked disappointed. Ferit bey glanced at me, "No dear" I said and Idris sighed, "Anyway, I need help choosing my schoolbag" "Okay" I replied. Ferit bey was silent the whole time and I made sure to never leave Idris's side.

"Nuri I am thirsty" "Hmm... I don't have water with me now... Look, the filter is near the stairs, you can drink from there" I said and turned to follow him but he denied my company, "It's okay. I can go by myself" he said. "But Idris, you just got lost, I am coming with you" "Don't worry, I will be back in a jiffy" he said and ran off.

Thankfully, my phone started ringing right then, "Hello Edric?" I picked it immediately and Ferit bey ran his fingers through his choclate hair with a sigh. "Abla said you'd reach home last night, but I didn't wanna disturb you then. What are you doing now?" "I'm out shopping, you?" I asked back. "I'm outside too, I had some work but now I am bored. Maybe I can come there, where are you now?" he asked.

Ferit bey was listening to our conversation attentively, though he didn't show it. "That's a great idea, even Ferit bey is here, Idris too" "Ferit abi? Ah, I had to tell him something... Okay, I am coming there" he said and I was very happy. "Edric is coming" I smiled at Ferit bey as I hung up. He frowned, "Why is he coming?" he asked. "He said he had something to tell you" I said and Idris returned then.

"See? I didn't get lost this time" He grinned proudly. We checked a few more aisles, till he had everything he needed for school. Edric appeared then, "Uncle?" "Hey! How are you kid?" Edric took Idris in his arms. "I'm very good. You know what? When I came here with abi, we met Nuri by chance" "Ah" Edric played with Idris's hair. "Hoşgeldin Edric" said Ferit bey, "Hos buldum. Ferit, I wanted to ask you one thing" he said, "Uh... Leila would like it if Idris stayed with them for today" said Edric.

Ferit bey frowned. "But when will I go home?" asked Idris, "I will bring you back safely to your abi tomorrow morning" Edric smiled at him. "What do you say?" "Uh... Edric, I don't think so. Idris's school is about to start, so maybe he should stay home itself" said Ferit bey. "Come on Ferit, they all missed him a lot. Don't worry, I promise to bring him back by morning" repeated Edric.

"But his clothes?" "It's just for a day, so no problem" said Edric, "So I won't have to bath today? Yippee!" cried Idris and I laughed. "If he wants to go, I am fine with it... But promise me that you will be a good boy" Ferit bey turned to Idris. "Of course" He grinned. "Then if you finished shopping, can we have lunch together Nuri? We can even take this little monkey with us" said Edric, tickling Idris.

"Of course I wanna come, I am so hungry" Said Idris. "Okay, Ferit are you coming?" asked Edric turning towards him. "Uh... No. I need to take care of a few things at the company" he said and turned to me before leaving. "I will see you tomorrow morning" He said coldly and left...

Just like that, without even saying goodbye...

I went to the company and Nazmiya hanim said that Demir had been absent for a long time. Only Burçu came here once to check his office, but Demir's absence was suspicious. "Did something happen to him?" I asked her, "No Ferit bey... I don't think so. He is pretty active in all the online investments, but he hasn't been going out lately" she said. I nodded and went to my room.
