Chapter 28

It's been a week since school has started and for the first two days Draco went to all of our classes until the third day. He started missing a few classes, it was a different class each day but I couldn't help but to notice.

Blaise and I are going to Professor Slughorn's office since he had asked for us to come by after classes were done for the day.

"I couldn't help but notice that Draco's been missing some classes." Blaise brought me out of my thoughts. "Where has he been?"

"I honestly don't know." I answered. "He hasn't told me anything."

"He hasn't been looking too good and it seems like he hasn't been eating or sleeping." Blaise told me.

"Yeah, I've noticed that too. I worry about him."

"Do you think it has something to do with his assignment?" He asked as we got closer to Slughorn's office.

"I'm sure of it." I stopped in front of the office. "He's been stressed with it and it seems to be affecting him a lot."

"He hasn't told you anything?"

"No, I only get to see him in class or with you guys so he hasn't told me shit." I said kind of sad.

"That's surprising." Blaise seemed confused. "Come on, let's get this over with."

Blaise knocked on the door and we went in after hearing a faint "come in" from the other side.

"Ah, Ms. Snape, Mr. Zabini. Thank you for coming by." Slughorn smiled at us. "Please sit down."

We sat on the couch across from him.

"I wanted to talk to you both about something. You see when I taught here before I had a club for some students to get together for dinners and parties and I was hoping for you both to join." He explained seeming really happy about it.

"You want us to join your club?" I asked very confused by this.

"Yes, I believe you both are great students and thought you could benefit by being around other great students to discuss different things."

I looked at Blaise to see that he too is confused and surprised by this. He looks at me and shrugged his shoulders.

"I mean it seems interesting." Blaise said. "So why not, I'll join."

Slughorn smiled. "That's great to hear. What about you Ms. Snape?"

"Sure, why not. I'll also join." I told them and Slughorn's smile widened.

"Wonderful, it will be a great time. Look out for my owl okay." He said as he stood up.

We stood up too. "Thank you for the invite professor." I said as we walked to the door.

"Of course." He said before Blaise and I left.

As soon as the door shut behind us Blaise started laughing.

"What the fuck was that?" He asked and I couldn't help but laugh along with him.

"I honestly don't know, but thanks to you we're now stuck in this club." I told him.

"Thanks to me?" He asked in shock and I laughed more.

"Yes thanks to you. You were the one to agree first so I felt that I had to as well." I glared at him playfully.

"You didn't have to agree just because I did, you know." He defended himself.

"Whatever." I said but smiled which he returns.
