Remus made his way down to the spot (Just out of range of the Whomping Willow), where Madam Pomfrey would be waiting for him. But when he got there... she wasn't there. Maybe she was running late? Deciding to wait for her, he couldn't help but let his gaze linger towards the Forbidden Forest in the distance. Will she be okay? Has she been a Werewolf for long? Or is this her first transition? So lost in thought he was, that he didn't even realize the full moon had risen. Suddenly, his friends crashed into him from under the invisibility cloak, sprawled across the grass in a pile of limbs and tangled in an invisibility cloak. It took them a few moments to get all upright. Then realization hit - !

"Moony! The Full Moon!" squeaked Peter. Remus immediately looked up and rapidly paled, as he saw the beaming full moon high up in the sky. But then another realization hit - the moon was out and he didn't start transitioning. No bones snapping, no fangs, no fur, nothing.

"Why haven't you turned?" questioned a confused Sirius.

"I - I don't... know. I should've already begun the whole bone-breaking... yet, nothing." James just stared at Remus like a deer caught in the headlights. Sirius looked to be in deep thought, as Remus just kept staring at his hands in curiosity. Peter then suddenly spluttered out nervously, "Maybe you need to think about it?" causing all three of them to give him incredulous looks.

"I need... to think about it?" Remus questioned, baffled. And yet, he couldn't help but try it anyway.

One second he was standing there, thinking about all his "Werewolf-ishness" and the next he felt himself shift and change, unlike anything he's ever experienced. James, Sirius, and Peter immediately freaked out and stumbled into one another, landing on their arses, as they suddenly saw a big brown wolf appear in front of them. Naturally, he freaked out and as fast as he had changed to a wolf, he changed just as fast back to his normal self - falling on his arse as well.

"What the bloody hell was that!?" he croaked out in a panic. James pointed at him as he sputtered out, "Y-You changed! You changed into a wolf and then back again!" Sirius and Peter nodded along frantically with wide eyes.

They all stared at one another in complete silence, full of shock and confusion. "Did it hurt? When you changed?" Sirius asked, breaking the silence.

"No. It just felt odd..." Remus mumbled.

"Do it again," interrupted James. Remus took a deep breath and pursed his lips as he once again thought about all his "Werewolf-ishness" and just like before - he shifted into the same brown wolf. Remus looked at them in his wolf form and to his amazement, found that he was in control. He didn't feel like hurting his friends! There was no bloodlust, just him as a wolf!

"Mate, I think you're somehow... an Animagus," whispered James. Remus shifted back once again, "Me? An Animagus? Impossible! My whole life I've practically been a Werewolf! There's no cure. I -"

"Literally just shifted back and forth multiple times, like an Animagus," Sirius stated, cutting Remus off his tangent.

"But how?" he asked breathlessly.

"Who knows, mate? I mean, isn't this good news? You're no longer a Werewolf!" smiled James. And just like that, Remus felt his whole world shift. He was no longer a Werewolf. He, Remus John Lupin, was no longer a Werewolf! He felt a burst of excitement spread within him, and a big smile began to grow on his face. The boys all jumped up from the ground and started celebrating, like the loveable, goofy, idiots they are. Only to stop and freeze when in the distance they heard a howl. Suddenly, they all remembered that even though Remus was no longer a Werewolf... Ara was! And she was currently in the Forbidden Forest, by the sounds of it - not too far away.

James didn't know why he did it. It was just a feeling he got when he heard the howl. Before anyone could say anything, he immediately shifted into his stag form and ran off into the Forbidden Forest in search of Ara. Sirius and Remus exchanged looks with one another, before shrugging and following suit. Peter hesitated a moment longer, before doing the same.

It was exciting and fun! The group of them running around the forest. They felt so - free! Unlike anything they've ever felt before. James came to a sudden stop, before slowly making his way towards the small little lake up ahead. He could smell her nearby. James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter stood at the edge of the water in their Animagus forms looking for any sign of Ara. A sound of a twig snapping, made them all zero in on the dark clump of trees straight across from them.

A massive wolf, unlike any they've ever seen, slowly stepped out. Ara. Her fur was black with a purplish-bluish iridescence to it, she had shades of gold fur - marking her lightning scar with a gold outline around her mismatched eyes. What kind of wolf was she? She didn't look like a normal Werewolf or an Animagus. She tilted her head at them, with what he could only assume was a smirk. Was she in control of her mind? But how? Her eyes gleamed mischievously and she suddenly took off in a sprint, naturally, they had to follow. And just like that the group of them spent the night running around the forest having the time of their lives.
