Chapter 44: Reminiscence

The information was big.

If not for us, definitely for V.

I was speechless at this point because as much as I know, Vihaan just came around V and now he's already leaving for another country regardless of the two offers being the exact same.

"When are you going then?" Asked Rai and I looked at him in curiosity.

"In 5 days." He replied and my eyes widened at his words.

"You're telling us now?" I asked and he gave us a small smile.

"It wouldn't have mattered if I told you guys before." He said and we girls let out a scoff.

"Bro, what do you mean? As much as we're gonna miss V, we're gonna miss your presence too. And we thought you guys were going together but then you dropped this new information bomb on us." Any said and I nodded my head in agreement.

"I promise it won't affect us and if it wasn't something very personal, you know I would have never chose Italy over Germany when it comes to her." Vihaan explained holding V's hand and we exchanged warm smiles.

"You better don't let the distance affect you guys." I said pointing at him and he nodded letting out a chuckle.

I glanced at V and she had this sad face on and a small smile to pretend when I exactly know how much she's gonna miss Vihaan.

She looked at me and I just nodded giving her a small smile as a reassurance that everything would be fine.

I glanced at Aryan and Anirudh and their expressions screamed that they knew everything but they didn't care to tell us.

Suddenly the bell rang and I immediately went to open the door to see a package of clothes I ordered for myself.

I gave the otp and came inside to see confused faces but Any and Rai just laughed.

"What's this?" Asked Aryan and I shrugged.

"My clothess!" I said excitedly making everyone laugh.

I came in my room to keep it and left it on the bed to try on later. I came back to see everyone already engaged in conversations. I sat between Anirudh and Aryan and everyone laughed at me.

"Kya hua?" I asked in confusion.

"We were just talking about how you once ordered your clothes in all wrong sizes and then you gifted them to us because there was no return option on it saying 'a small present from my side' when it was just you not wanting to keep unnecessary stuff in your cupboard." Rai said laughing and I smiled nervously glaring at them.

"It was still a present. I didn't ask for money!!" I said sassily and they all nodded in agreement cracking out continuous laughs.

"Haslo haslo, ek din mera time bhi aayega!" I said and V smiled a little.

"We won't have this time again, Nysa!" She said and the reality struck me so hard that it removed the smile that was just plastered on my face a second ago.

"Shit!" Any said and I glanced at Aryan who had this small smile on his face too nodding his head probably trying to sink in the truth.

I leaned my head on his shoulder looking at my friends who made this apartment a place I'll always want to come back to. Not like I am going anywhere from here but V and Vihaan won't be here in a week, Rai will go back to Jodhpur and then it would just be me and Any with Aryan and Anirudh.

All I can think about is how these three years passed like nothing and while we had numerous problems, what remained aloof was our friendship and I am so gonna miss it.
