"It's interesting... All of this." I say to Milton as he wandered around the lab trying to find something. Andrea, michonne and I were supposed to stay here for another day so I decided to go find something interesting to do.

"Thank you. I heard that you were going into med school." He says, he pokes up to look at me, I nod.

"I guess word travels fast here."

He nods, he looks at some papers and writes something down, looking at the old man's body laying down on the bed. Milton explained to me that he was trying to find a cure, the old man had terminal cancer and was getting weaker each day.

"So... This weather..."

...

After an hour of being at Milton's lab, I left to go shadow Marshall. It took me awhile to finally take the governor's advice about learning from him... Actually about anything. He seemed like he was hiding something behind that charming smile and glistening eyes.

I walked up to marshall, he was an older guy, around 50. He had thinning blonde hair and blue eyes, he was average height, average looking. He gave a smile when he looked up from some papers.

"You must be Max." He cheered, I was turned off by his cheerfulness but I faked a smile and looked at what he was looking at. It was some charts

"You guys have printers?" I asked, confused. He laughed at me

"No, no, these are old charts from patients I've had. I was going over them to review on some things I may be getting rusty on." He explains. I nod, he looked at me

"What year of med school were you in?" He asked,

"I was actually in my first year of residency." I say

"Ah... There are books in the library, physiology books that you should read and study from. I could give you tests and maybe even hands on experience with some of the citizens here." He says. We both look out the window, I look at the people walking the streets. I look back at him

"Thanks." I say, he smiles and I walked out. I went to go find the library.

...

"Oh, God, what is that?" Michonne asked me as she walked into the room. I looked up from one of the physiology books that I was reading to see what she was displeased about. She was scowling at my book, I sighed

"We're leaving in two days... Don't let them fool you." She says as she made her way to the window. She gazed out of it

"Well, then I'll steal these books." I joke, she looked at me seriously, she wasn't much into joking. I wiped my smile off my face and kept reading about kidney function.

"So, Andrea agreed on two days?" I was skeptical about it, Andrea looked at the governor the same way I looked at Rick the first time I met him. Michonne sat down on a stool across from me, she sniffled

"We're leaving." She states, she then leaves me alone to read.

...

"He may have internal bleeding in the abdominal area." I say as I lightly pressed down on Welles' stomach, a solider who survived in the helicopter crash. He flinched as I pressed on his abdomen,

"No, no.." I hear Marshall laugh behind me, he pushes me out of the way by pressing down himself,

"On a scale to 1-10, how bad is your pain when I press down?" Marshall asks Welles.

"I'd say a 6."

Marshall nodded and then went to get a physiology book he was carrying around today. He looked at Welles who was watching him nervously since he hasn't said anything yet

"We will keep you under close watch." He says with a smile, he leaves for the door, I hesitate and look back at Welles, I smiled and then followed Marshall down the hall

"Follow up on him every forty five minutes, he may have internal bleeding," he says. I paused, taken back that he rejected my idea at first.

"But I said that he may have internal bleeding." I almost questioned, he turned around and smiled,

"You wanted to be a surgeon, right?"

I nodded, he smiled and bowed his head, almost mocking me

"You should know that all doctors are arrogant and so until I say it, it doesn't matter to me." He shrugs, when he turned around to leave, my jaw locked. I wanted to punch that asshole in the face.

I checked on Welles every forty minutes like Marshall ordered, the symptoms of internal bleeding was clear, I had told Marshall over walkie talkie and he said for me to hold up in the room until he got there. It was a half an hour later, I rushed up to him before he said anything to Welles, I was angry that he took so long

"Why the hell are you so late?" I hiss, he sighs and rolls his eyes at me

"I'm here now, princess." He walks past me, I look at him in shock, tired of his shit. He then starts saying to Welles that we need to perform surgery on him tonight. Welles was surprised but he trusted us, Marshall came up to me,

"Do you guys have an O.R?" I asked, I was getting antsy, I would be performing surgery

"No, we have to do here." He was absently minded while looking at the physiology book, I furrowed my eyebrows

"Well... You guys must have an anesthesiologist and a crew of nurses-"

"We don't." He states, talking to me as if I was stupid.

"How are we supposed to get in there, then?!"

He looks at me,

"We're going in there blind... Milton will help us a little since he knows some of this stuff, you will not be there." He explains, I felt anger rise inside of me

"And why the hell not?! Did Milton even go to med school?!" I yelled

"No but I've taught him myself, he's more ready than you are."

I stand there, knowing that he wasn't going to cave

"Can I at least observe?"

He looks at me, he shakes his head and walks out

"What is the big deal if I observe?!" I exclaimed

...

Sena's POV

Rick fell to the ground in sadness when he realized that Lori didn't make it through birth. Carl stood there, crying softly, silence overcame all of us.

I made it to the end of the prison yard, I don't dare go inside the prison because of lori's death. I couldn't stand the cries of the baby and the sadness that sunk down in the air. Instead I sat behind the fence and watched as the walkers wrapped their fingers through the holes in the fence, growling to get inside and ruin all we've worked for. I began to grow furious, I got a shovel and stabbed the end into a walker's eye through the fence hole. The walker stopped growling and fell with a thud. The others were getting more and more worked up. I yelled, trying to release some of my pent up emotions, then driving the end of the shovel into more walker's heads, killing them on the spot.
