The street was filled with gunfire. Glenn and Maggie had a feeling that it was Rick and the group. I was totally in the mindset of going with them and getting the hell out of here when I saw the governor's room window, the light flickered off. The irrelevant happening made me think that even if I do escape out of here tonight, I had a feeling we would have to face him again. I had no choice but to kill him, I now know that Rick is alive and he has two children to look after, I needed to know that we'd be safe- that he'd be safe.

"Glenn- Maggie," I turned to face them, I then saw Maggie still in her bra. I gave her my jacket, she nodded, silently thanking me. "You have to go without me."

They both looked at me like I was insane,

"No, what the fuck- we just found you after- after eight months!" Maggie yelled angrily.

"Maggie, who... Who made you take your shirt off?" I asked, I wanted to know who it was.

"I don't know his name- he was tall and had a black vest on- he had blue eyes-"

"His name is the governor- and he is the leader of this town... I need to kill him." I say. They both look at me, wanting an alternative solution to this, but there was no other

"Please, I'll be okay- tell me, which way is the prison from here?" I asked

"East- just go east and it's ten to twenty miles away- we'll wait outside the walls as long as we can." Glenn says. Maggie hugs me once more, they both leave. I still had the gun I got from one of the men, I ran across the street, I opened the door to the governor's house and slipped inside silently. It was pitch dark inside, every footstep I took the floorboards squeaked. I kept my gun close to my side, aiming downwards. I approached the stairway, I listened to see if there was any kind of movement upstairs, nothing. So, I continued up the steps. I then saw a bed that was against the far wall, the covers were messy, clothes were tossed randomly everywhere. I then saw a glow come from underneath another door in the room, I slowly approached the door. I opened it quickly and saw a leather chair in the middle of the room, and then I saw the creepiest thing that I've ever seen before in my life. A series of glass aquariums, filled with water and heads.

Human heads.

They were floating in the water, I scanned them, they varied from walker heads that snapped their teeth- still living. Then I saw one in the middle that looked familiar.

It was Welles. My mouth dropped wide open, all my suspicions of the governor were correct- I knew he wasn't the man he seemed. I then heard small shifting noises come from a cage that was installed into the wall. I walked slowly up to it, terrified of what else he kept hidden here. I then opened it, I saw a small girl slowly walk out of the cage. Chains tied to her ankles and hands, a bag over her head. In that moment, I was reminded of Jamie. I slowly discovered her face, her dead eyes met mine, she started to growl and claw at me. I dropped the sack on the floor. I then grab the walker's hair, taking the gun to her forehead and-

"No!" I hear from the doorway. I then see the governor standing in the doorway, his hand contained a handgun but when he saw that I was about to kill the walker, he dropped the gun on the ground. His movements were shaky, indicating he was nervous of my actions towards her. The little girl must be his daughter

"Please... Don't kill her." He begs

"She's already dead." I stated coldly. He shook his head, denying my thought, he looked into my eyes with desperation

"She- she's everything to me." He pleads. I then look down at her, she was growling and groaning. I then pull the trigger,

"NO!" He shouts, he then pushes me against the wall, I punched him, he punched me back. He starts to strangle me against the wall when I elbow him in the neck, he falls back, I kicked him against the aquariums, they shake, he then flips me around to forces me against them. Glass broke and shattered from the force of my body. I yelped when I felt glass dig into my shoulder. He yelled as he shoved me further and further into the glass. I then reach for a shard of glass from the aquariums and stab his eye with it. He cried in pain and fell to the ground. I was about to shoot him with my gun when I heard a gun cock from the doorway. I look up to see Andrea standing there, her gun drawn on me. I was in disbelief that she was pointing it at me

"Andrea-"

"Get out." She says coldly. I stare into her cold eyes. Finally after a few moments of the governor softly crying with his daughter in his arms and staring into Andrea's eyes, I walked past her.
