Before you read the update, let me just say that is short. Actually the update I waswriting was actually almost twice the size of this update, so I thought why notsplit it up. This way I can actually give you another update within anotherweek or so. So that's why it's short – sorry! But anyways, I hope you enjoythis update :)

Arnav knew that she wasn't sleepy and was just trying to avoid a conversation with him. But he wasn't going to let her this time – because he was going to clear all her doubts about him today.

A few minutes later, he slipped into bed next to her and just laid there for a few moment before he called, "Khushi?"

But Khushi didn't reply.

"I know you're awake," he said.

With that Khushi opened her eyes, but she still didn't turn around, nor reply.

Not getting any response, Arnav turned onto his side, placing an arm around Khushi's waist and pulling her closer as he placed a quick kiss on her neck. He leaned his chin on her shoulder as he asked, "Naaraaz ho? (Angry?)"

*******************************************************************

"Me? And angry at you? Of course not, Sir. Who am I to get at angry at you?" she said, her voice laced with sarcasm, though there was also a hidden sadness in it too.

"My life," he answered instantly, tightening his arms around her waist. "You're my life," he said with conviction. "You're the only person who is allowed to be angry at me."

"And yet it still seems like someone else has priority over me in your life," she retorted, not wishing to give into his sweet words.

"Khushi," he groaned, burying his face in the crook of her neck. "You know that's not true," he said.

"No I don't. You knew what I felt yesterday seeing you with her. You knew how hurt I'd been after that, and still am. You'd seen with your own eyes how much I'd cried yesterday because of you two. And yet, one phone call from her and you're ready to send me back into that same pit of pain, without a second thought! Yh Arnavji, I can see where I am in your priority list," she said, gulping down the lump in her throat.

"When did I say we have to go tomorrow?" Arnav asked calmly against her neck, relieved that this was actually something he could sort out easily.

"Then what was that you told me after her call?" she asked, frustrated.

"I said, 'Sheetal wants us to come there tomorrow,' not 'we are going to Sheetal's house tomorrow,'" he said. "I'd simply repeated to you what she'd said to me," he defended himself.

Khushi didn't reply.

"Khushi," he lifted his head up and tried to lift her chin up towards him, but she swatted his hands away, stubbornly looking at the wall ahead.

"Khushi look at me... please," he requested.

Moments later, Khushi slowly upturned her face, so she was looking at Arnav in the eyes.

Relieved that she was giving him a chance to speak, he kissed the corner of her mouth tenderly.

"Ek baat kahun? (Shall I tell you something?)" Arnav asked, softly.

And when Khushi didn't reply and just kept on gazing into his eyes, he continued, "When I saw Sheetal's name on my ringing phone this evening, I was dreading what was to come. And then when she'd asked us to come to her house tomorrow, I had decided that we definitely won't go there tomorrow. Because I didn't want to put you face to face with Sheetal again, especially after yesterday's events. And I certainly didn't want to go near her myself, after the way it had hurt you. But do you know what I think now?"
