Today was our gender reveal party. The whole crew was invited plus Debbie and my Aunt and Uncle. We didn't want it to be to big just our closest. Alissa and Edwin were on better terms now, but they aren't really ready to date yet. Catherine, Cindy and Alissa were the only ones who knew the gender of the baby, the rest of them were clueless. I was super excited and I would like to have a little babygirl now, but I would be just as happy if we got another boy. Nick was so excited he couldn't sit still. As the last guest came he immediately jumped up on his feet and walked over to the confetti cannons. "Baby, take it easy, let people settle down." I say quietly.
"But I want to know the gender of our baby."
"I know, I want to know it too, but you have to be patient."
"So when is the reveal gonna happen?!" Zion asks just as excited as Nick. Nick looked at me with a smirk.
"I don't wanna say I told you so... but I told you so." He says and starts running to the cannons, I just laugh at him as I tell all the other guests to follow us.

~ The same night Nick and I watched tv and we saw news of a black man called George Floyd being killed. My heart aches at the sight of what happened and I couldn't imagine what being in his shoes feels like, although I'm not to far from familiar with the feeling. My father was a victim of police brutality and loosing your father because of some ignorant police officers is not fun. The color of your skin should never determine your faith! May he as well as all the other black people being killed for the wrong reason, Rest In Peace! I cannot believe that people stand with Trump, listen to him, read his tweets and nod in agreement, it's completely and utterly crazy. I might not understand the fear but I stand with all my black people and I will make sure to use my privilege for good and never look past the pain they receive.
