EPILOGUE

A shuttle landed in a small clearing in a forest. The door opened. "Now, don't open your eyes," said Dam. He guided Amy out the shuttle.

"Are we almost there?" asked Amy.

Dam stepped behind her. "OK. You can open your eyes."

Amy gasped. "I don't believe it. It's real. This whole place is real." She was looking at her dream forest and cottage.

"Of course, I was," Dam said with a smile.

"I thought it was some place either you or I had made up. I figured it was some place we felt protected and safe," said Amy. She was filled with excitement.

With a shake his head, Dam picked up Amy and swung her in circles.

"I want to explore," Amy said after Dam put her down.

"Me too," Dam said nipping at her ear.

"Does it have that little brook?" asked Amy. She took a step away from Dam.

"Un hun," said Dam. He pulled Amy back into his embrace. He began to nibble on her other ear and gave it a little blow. "I've another type of exploring in mind."

Sinking into Dam's embrace, she said with a laugh. "Well, we can do that also."

"I thought you might see it my way. We have our whole lives to explore here." He picked her up and took her to the cabin.

"I love you, my mate," said Amy.

"I love you, my mate," Dam answered.

The door of the cabin closed. Out of a window flowed golden and silver light entwined.
