New Year's Eve

Two updates in one day! Oh My gods I'm on a roll! I wanted to do a New Year's Eve story for each of the Seven, but that simply isn't in the timetables between work, college classes, and family. The next best thing however, is one HUGE fic with a short story for all of the Seven and their s/o! Also these are not necessarily sicfics, this is just what I think the Seven get up to on New Year's Eve.

Percabeth

Percy and Annabeth were currently in Times Square, freezing their butts off, and five minutes from the start of 2017. The two had gotten lucky enough to be pretty close to the main stage, and were currently listening to Bruno Mars's 24k Magic. Annabeth was standing in front of Percy, enjoying the warmth provided by being wrapped in his arms. Once Bruno's set was over there was about a minute to midnight and the crowd started to get louder and louder. The announcer came over the loudspeaker just as the large ball lit up.

"Okay folks. You know what this means. Ten seconds until we ring in the New Year. Let's count it down!"

The deafening countdown started. Annabeth and Percy each covered their ears and yelled the countdown with the rest of Times Square.

"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1! Happy New Year everybody."

Everything started happening at once. Confetti cannons on the stage blasted everyone in proximity with confetti, Noise-makers and screams melded into one cacophonous roar, Annabeth could just hear Auld lang syne streaming over the speakers. Annabeth spun around and found Percy looking into her eyes. His cheeks were rosy from the cold and his eyes sparkled. Annabeth grabbed him by the shoulders and gave him a kiss that could rival the kiss in the lake that seemed so long ago.

"Happy New Year, Seaweed Brain."

"Happy New Year, Wise Girl."


Solangelo

Will and Nico decided against going to Times Square with Percy and Annabeth, largely due to the fact that Nico almost couldn't function in a crowd. Instead, the two had holed up at Will's house and were watching the festivities from the safety of Will's home theatre and eating large amounts of junk food, much to Will's dismay. They had spent the night listening to the year's Top 100 and deciding if each song was worthy of that title. So far, they weren't.

The two had been avoiding talking about something very big that would be happening in the new year. Will had been chosen to graduate a year early and had been accepted into the early admissions program at Harvard Medical School. If he accepted, Will would be due to leave at the beginning of the summer.

Nico remembered this small fact and slowly lost interest in criticizing the Top 100.

"What's wrong? You're more quiet than usual." Will already knew where this conversation was headed, but he took the bait anyway.

"It's nothing. Just thinking about the year to come." Nico wouldn't meet Will's gaze.

"Me too. I don't want to leave you, Nico."

"This opportunity is too amazing to pass up. This is the top medical school in the country, Will."

"Everything is so good between us now. What's the harm in waiting to graduate with the rest of our class. What if I get to Harvard and I'm a joke." Real fear shone in Will's eyes.

Nico finally looked Will in the eye and tears were slowly streaming down his face.

"You are so amazing, William Solace. There is literally nothing you cannot accomplish. You have to take this opportunity. If you don't accept, I will forge your signature and admission papers." Nico had that defiant gleam in his eye. Will believed him.
