Why do you even have that?

Hello again my loves! I should be doing homework right now, but I have made the executive decision to come here instead. ponytailsandbooks requested some fluffy Solangelo and I am very excited to write about my smol children again.

There weren't many perks to being the only occupant of the Hades cabin. However, Nico Di Angelo had discovered a few. He could plan his entire schedule out and didn't have to take anybody else into account, lights out when he wanted, he could even make his schedule out to spend an entire day helping a certain son of Apollo in the infirmary. No, there weren't many perks to being alone, but there were a few.

Nico woke up and was immediately excited. Now, you wouldn't think one would usually be excited to spend and entire day cutting gauze and organizing the stock room in the infirmary, but Nico was more than happy to do menial labor all day if it meant he got to  spend time with his boyfriend.

"Hey Nico!" Several voices greeted as he walked through the door of the infirmary. Immediately Nico felt happier and more optimistic, a side effect of being around the children of Apollo and their healing energy.

"Hey" Nico said to no one in particular.

"Nice of you to finally join us significant annoyance." Will said sarcastically as he walked up behind Nico and kissed him on the cheek.

Nico blushed, not usually one for PDA, but for Will he made an exception.

"You're never going to let me live that down, are you?"

"Nope. I'll still accept "special guy" or "amore" if you'd prefer." Will laughed.

"Nah. I'll stick with significant annoyance, it suits you."

The two started walking toward the back of the infirmary, where all of the extra supplies was kept.

"So boss, what am I doing today?" Nico asked as he opened the door the room.

"You could organize the extra supplies. Since "the great poison oak incident" it's been kind of a mess back here. Or, you could go change your schedule with Chiron and do something, I don't know, fun?"

"This is totally fun. Plus, I'd rather be in here than out there getting third degree burns on the climbing wall. Also, when I'm here I can do this." Nico lightly pushed Will back against the stock room door and stood on his toes to give him a kiss.

"That's definitely a compelling argument. I guess you can stay." Will leaned in one more time and then someone was calling his name.

"Duty calls."

"That it does. I'll see you at lunch."

Will walked back toward the main hall of the infirmary and Nico was left with boxes of medical supplies to organize. He wasted no time in getting to work.

About two hours into his organizing, Nico came across a few bottles with some sort of clear liquid. Assuming they were water, he placed them haphazardly on the top shelf and continued organizing.

"Nico! Lunch time!" Will called a while later.

"Just a minute." Nico called back. He was almost done organizing the first shelf and didn't see any point in leaving it. The only problem was the shelves were pretty tall and Nico was pretty short. Nico stood on his toes and braced himself against the shelves to place the last box of bandages on the shelf with the others. Apparently, no one had thought to secure the shelving to the walls. The tall shelf jerked away from the wall as Nico had just pushed the box into place. One of the bottles of clear liquid from earlier teetered on the edge of the shelf and Nico held his breath. He sighed as it stopped shaking and was just about to go meet Will when the bottle toppled off of the shelf and right onto Nico's shoes. Nico gasped and could swear he smelled something sweet, almost like cough medicine. Seeing that nothing else was going to come crashing down Nico carefully mopped up the liquid, swept up the glass, and set it in the corner of the room to be dealt with later.
