Willow woke up early in the morning to creep into Joy's room. Joy was already on her laptop, finding a hieroglyphic translator to use.

"Any luck?" Willow asked, sitting on Joy's bed.

"I found something, but-some of these symbols just aren't showing up."

"Well, have you decrypted what you can yet?"

"I'm about to." Joy got out two pens and two sheets of paper and placed the paper as well as the computer between them. "How about you take the bottom row, and I take the top? Just mark on the paper which ones you can't transcribe."

Willow nodded. "We're like the mystery solving duo, here," she said as she worked. "It's so exciting."

Joy smiled.

Patricia woke up later on in the morning, leaving Eddie's room, heading upstairs to take a shower, and then as she was heading downstairs, there was a light knock on the door. She rolled her eyes and forced herself to go to the door and open it.

"Amber!" she exclaimed, giving Amber a hug.

The others heard, with Fabian popping out his room; Nina, KT, Mara, Joy, and Willow coming from upstairs; and Eddie and Alfie popping out the kitchen.

They went to Amber to greet her.

"What're you doing here?" KT asked.

"Well, I had some free time, and I remembered Alfie's email, so I decided, why not come? Where's Mick? And Jerome?"

"Mick isn't here," Fabian replied. "And Jerome-"

"-is right here," Jerome came out his room.

The others eyed him cautiously as he approached.

"Is everything alright?" Amber questioned. "You act as if you've seen a ghost."

"Yes, is everything alright?" Jerome asked.

When nobody was saying anything, Nina suddenly said, "Yes. Is there a reason it shouldn't be?"

"Let me help you with your bags," Fabian insisted.

He went towards Amber's pink suitcase, but Eddie stopped him.

"Don't sprain yourself," he told him. He took Amber's blue purse and held it out to Fabian. "Maybe her purse is better suited for you."

"Ha ha." Fabian took it anyway. He should've seen that coming.

Alfie grabbed Amber's other bag, and they led Amber up to the available room upstairs. Everyone else parted, with the girls going back upstairs, Eddie and Alfie back in the kitchen, and Jerome and Fabian back in their rooms. But right when the coast was clear, Jerome silently opened his door again and snuck out of the house.

Sibuna met in Amber's room, including Mara, explaining everything they knew as quickly as possible in the shortest way possible.

"So, I'm now on a summer holiday where I'll have to be solving mysteries and saving the world, again?"

"Kind of," KT replied.

"The things I do in my life," Amber sighed.

"So you're in?" Nina asked.

"Am I in? Of course I am. I'm Amber Millington."

The others cheered.

"So, just watch out for Jerome, and we'll leave you to your packing," Mara smiled.

They began filing out, and since Alfie was last, Amber called, "Alfie, wait."

Alfie was hoping she really didn't. He slowly turned towards her. "Yes?"

"Hi." Amber was obviously waiting for Alfie to embrace her or do something, and Alfie knew this, but he was dating Willow now.

"Hi," he just said.

"Help me unpack?"

"Sure."

Amber did a silent 'ok' as she went and closed the door. She told Alfie where each thing should go in the room. Shirts in top drawer, pants in bottom drawer, dresses hung in closets, and she would manage the undergarments.

"Are you glad to see me?" Amber questioned.

"I am. We all are, actually."

"But, especially you, right?"

"I don't know what you mean." He knew exactly what she meant.

"You do remember where we left off, right?"

"Amber," Alfie suddenly stood up straight and spoke with definition. "I have a girlfriend, and she is Willow Jenks, and I love her to death. And other than that, the only reason I can't date you is because at the end of summer, when you go back to New York, I'll still be here-with Willow, and not you. And I'm sorry we can't pick up and be what we used to, but I just can't be with you right now, nor ever again." He felt brave saying this to her, but also felt like he'd be critically injured in a few moments.

"Oh," is all Amber could say.

"Please don't let this ruin your summer. I just didn't want to keep this from you. But if you're going to hurt me, please make it as quick as possible." He winced.

Amber laid a hand on Alfie's wrist from the arm he was using to protect his face, and gently brought it down.

"It's fine Alfie," she laughed it off. "But I think I'll finish unpacking myself."

Alfie nodded, waved goodbye, and he left. Amber closed the door behind him and then sat on her bed. And then the tears came.

She covered her mouth tightly to avoid loud squeals from coming out as she cried her heart out. She didn't know this would've happened, especially to her. She and Alfie were Amfie, and Amfie was suppose to last. She didn't know going to New York for fashion school, and then staying for fashion college would make an impact so big. And now she was devastated, her heart shattered completely.
