House of Anubis: Reunion

The Caretaker's Office

Very early in the morning, Sibuna decided to meet in Nina's room. They decided Eddie, Nina, and Mara would go to Anubis house so that most of them could be left at the summer house. It was still dark out as they headed there, but light was starting to appear faintly. The caretaker shouldn't have been there, so they picked the lock with the barrette and closed the door behind themselves. They went up to the caretaker's office and paused for a moment.

"I couldn't get this open last time," Eddie claimed.

"I'll try," Nina volunteered, taking the barrette.

She kneeled down to be eye level with the key hole, and as she placed one hand on the knob itself, she accidentally twisted it, but it opened. Nina stood up.

"It's already unlocked," Mara spoke.

"It wasn't yesterday," Eddie responded. "Why would it be left unlocked? They wouldn't forget, would they?"

"Let's just use it to our advantage, I suppose," Nina suggested. We went in, followed by the other two.

They gazed around the room first and then embedded themselves into a deep search within the drawers. Then Eddie began hearing whispers, soon followed by Nina and Mara, in which they said: Move the desk.

Eddie, Nina, and Mara looked at the desk, now cleared with a bare surface unlike the time it was Victor's. They worked together to move it out the way until they could clearly see a hatch under it.

"This house never stops having secrets," Eddie spoke their thoughts.

Mara kneeled down and opened the hatch, then pulling it up which made a creaking noise, and then dropped it over, revealing gold.

Not like stacks of gold, but a vault of gold, where the walls and floor were all gold.

"Hidden in the vault of gold, a crown of ostrich feathers," Nina half-spoke to herself.

She went in first, dropping down with a bare ringing sound produce of it. Mara went down next. They looked straight forward at a podium with some object in it. It was glinting and it was circular. It was silver and on two sides there seemed to be black/white feathers stuck on it.

"Alright I'm coming down," Eddie warned, but before he did anything, his attention was directed towards an unlocking door and opening door at the entrance to the house.

"Someone's coming in!" he yell-whispered.

"We'll come back up," Nina insisted.

"No! Stay there. I'll come back for you."

"We can't just leave you to get caught alone," Mara joined in.

"Relax," Eddie calmed. "I'll be fine, and it'll take no time for me to return."

He closed the hatch and struggling, moved the desk as fast as he could to exactly where it was. Right when he'd taken his hands off the desk, the door to the office opened.

Short, but I gotta leave you with a cliffhanger until the next update. I don't hate ya, but it leaves you on the edge of your seat so...
