House of Anubis: Reunion

Set the World on Fire part 2

Set, still in Jerome's body, was waiting outside Anubis house. He grinned devilishly as Sibuna approached, and in this moment, everyone against Set was considered Sibuna.

"You showed up. You know, I'm not quite prepared just yet," Set spoke. "If you weren't aware, I decide when everything goes down."

"Ok," Nina called out, bravely. Her voice wasn't even shaky like she'd assumed it be. "The ball's in your court."

"I suppose we could begin a little...early."

Set rose his right hand, and lighting shot down from the sky, right in front of Sibuna, making them jump back. He then teleported from the porch of Anubis house to behind the group. They turned around quickly.

Set used his right hand again, stretching it towards the direction of Mick who was now on his right. Mick suddenly clutched his chest, and staggered to the ground.

"What are you doing?!" Joy took a step forward. Set held up a finger.

Eddie reached out his hand to do his Osirion thing, but Jerome used his left hand to deflect Eddie entirely, and send him flying backwards. Patricia raced to him. Set still had Mick helpless in pain.

"It's heartbreaking to see someone so close be in so much pain, and not be able to help, isn't it? It hurts to see someone you love so much right in front of your eyes, and they're...helpless. Hopeless." Set went right up to Joy's face. "Wouldn't you agree?"

Set was suddenly knocked over by a yellow beam of light that had come out of Mara's hand. Mick was released.

"No! You'll hurt Jerome's body!" Joy shouted.

"Well, we kind of have to do something," KT advocated.

Eddie had already gotten back up. Mick had just stood himself up painfully, just as Set shot up from the ground, practically unharmed. He disappeared right in front of them.

They turned around, confused, unable to find Set anywhere.

"Where did he go?"

"In the house?" Alfie suggested.

Nina was already headed inside. Eddie was right behind her. Nina stood in the main part of the house, and Eddie showed up on her left, and for some reason, this reminded him of the moment in his dream when the house was crumbling and Set came out of the kitchen. And Eddie hesitated, waiting for some chaos to happen, but nothing came.

"It's not time yet," Eddie spoke aloud to himself.

"What?" Nina's hair swung around as she turned her head towards him.

Mr. Wright walked to the stairwell railing from upstairs, but he hadn't been spotted yet. He smiled. Through a quick process of metamorphosis, or whatever you'd like to consider it, he changed into Set's snake, truly gold as if he'd been dipped into it. Every scale was defined in this gold as well.

He slithered down the stairs, coming close to Nina's leg. His whole body reached the ground, but some of the others came rushing in, and as soon as Alfie spotted the snake facing Nina, he launched forward, slamming his foot on the snake's tail.

"Alfie, no!" Fabian yelled. But it was too late.

The golden snake had twisted its body around, and bitten Alfie's leg instead, and slowly, Alfie fell to the floor. Eddie and Nina had turned around to face everything by the time the others did show up. Willow had gone to Alfie's side. She carefully pulled Alfie's body to the bottom stair.

Fabian acted fast. He had KT hold the music up, and he began playing. As soon as he hit the second note, the snake seemed a bit loopy, displaying that it was working.

He completed the final note, and everything was silent. They were sure it would work, but the snake was still there, it's eyes now directed towards Amber. It lunged up in the air towards her face, but it disappeared in speckled gold in mid-air.

"What is going on in there?!" they heard someone outside yell. Some of Sibuna was still in the doorway, and that's probably why whoever it was asked.

Sibuna had gone back outside(except for Alfie and Willow), immediately recognizing who it was. Eddie had come out last, also spotting the person.

It was his father.

"Dad!" He raced down the stairs to him. "You can't be here! You have to get out of here-quick!"

"What is going on here? What kind of atrocity is this?" Mr. Sweet questioned.

"No time for explanation-just go!"

Then, everybody heard something. And the rest of Sibuna could see it since they hadn't gone down the stairs, but Eddie's view was blocked because of his dad. But when his dad dropped to the ground right in front of him, revealing a scar within his clothes and back, he knew the inevitable happened.

He gazed straightforward, seeing Set a few yards away with a smirk on his face.

In a split second, Eddie's sadness had gone to anger, to pure rage. So much rage, he trembled and his fists were clinched tighter than his teeth.
