"Shift."

"Let go!" Raven pried at the man's hand

"Shift!" He lifted the boy up by the front of his shirt. "Now!"

The fabric was ripped over his head. Raven dropped to his knees and shivered when the cold hair touched his skin. He shifted forms. It was either be naked or have his fur as a cover. The man lifted the sub to his feet and led him down a hallway. He was forced into a dimly lit room where other lower ranked werewolves sat along the wall. They were shackled to the ground. The man forced Raven into line with them and put a cuff around his ankle.

The sub slid down the wall and glanced at the person next to him. He seemed to be an older werewolf who just sat there with his head down. Stretching out his neck, Raven peered down the row. No one was really fighting to get free, but with the amount of highly ranked werewolves walking around, Raven wasn't too surprised by it.

He wrapped his arms around his legs and rested his muzzle on his knees. What was he going to do? His ears fell to the side. Clapping echoed into the room, making the boy sit up straight. He searched the room but couldn't tell where it was coming from. The werewolf at the end of the line was uncuffed and led away. Raven swallowed hard. This was really happening. He was going to be sold.

His tail curled around his legs. The sub was regretting every choice he'd made. He shouldn't have broken the rules and went home when he was supposed to. Tears formed in his eyes. His father and brother were right. Subs weren't met to leave the safety of the pack. Raven should have let the second place winner go instead. A sob was building in his throat.

One by one the werewolves next him were taken away. Raven tried to not panic as the number started to dwindle. Where were they taken them? He wiped his fur. The man next to him was unchained and pulled to his feet. Raven scooted away from the dominants standing around the room until the chain made it so he couldn't go any further. He used his shoulder to clear his eyes.

His heart was beating against his ribs. A pit was forming in the sub's stomach, and he felt sick. He was next.

A pair of shiny black shoes stopped in front of the werewolf. Raven hid his ankle and bowed his head. The dominant knelt and moved the boy's hands and unlocked the chain. Raven made a move to escape in the opposing direction. The man snatched the boy's arm and squeezed. The sub spun around and swiped at the dominant's face with his claws.

"You little bitch." The man stuck Raven in the head which sent the boy falling into the wall.

"Careful," snapped another dominant. "He's the big finale."

"They're not going to see a bruise under his fur." The man yanked Raven up and shoved him toward the doorway that the others had disappeared through.

Two dominants led the young werewolf out into a dark room. He was pushed forward into the middle of the room. He could see shadows of people moving around him. Raven rubbed his arm.

"Let the bidding begin."

Raven's head snapped to the side to see the woman who led the rogue pack. The sub's ears twitched in every direction as people started moving around. Dim lights were flickering. His tail twisted around his leg. He really wished his father was here.

"There!"

Darius swirled the car down an alleyway and stopped the vehicle.

"This is it." Daven checked his phone. "It says it that building." He pointed to a rundown structure.

The alpha tapped his finger on the steering wheel. Two men were standing outside an exit to the building. The hairs on his arms stood on end. His fangs came out as his fingernails changed to claws. "Hold on." He put the car in drive and stepped on the gas.
