Raven closed the truck door and let out a deep breath as he put on his seatbelt.

"Ready?" said Jagger.

"Yeah." He sunk down in his seat. The sub never looked forward to this drive.

Jagger backed the truck out onto the street and started toward the freeway. Three months in Northern Ridge before they had to come back and start another year. Raven was ready for the break but he was also excited to do some hiking and take pictures of the territory.

"Did Daven and you talk?"

Raven nodded. "Yeah, we worked it out."

"Are you still mad?"

"Yep." The sub gazed out the window. "But that's never mattered. Being mad at Daven is pointless." He let out a sigh. "I guess I'm not mad but annoyed. I know he's doing what he supposed to as a dominant and my brother, but I'm not twelve. I'll be nineteen in a couple weeks. It's normal for werewolves to start looking for mates around our age."

"So that guy who was with you and Jesse, who is he?"

"Josh, he's Jesse's second-cousin. His parents are gay so he has a sub dad." Raven sat up and turned in his seat. "He's from Bloodhound. Small world, right?"

"Yeah." Jagger fell silent.

An awkward tension filled the vehicle.

"Any plans for the summer?" asked Raven.

The dominant shook his head. "No. I'm sure your dad has planned every second, though."

Raven nodded. "I don't doubt it. He's turning into my grandpa," he laughed. "It's all about responsibility and pack issues."

"He is getting more stubborn in his old age, which I really didn't think was possible until now."

The sub grinned. "Well, if he ever gives you some time off, how about you come hiking with me? Then my dad will let me go more than a hundred feet from the cave to take photos."

Jagger nodded and gripped the steering wheel. "Sure. That'll be a nice break from future alpha stuff."

Liam jumped when the bedroom door was kicked open. Cyrus trudged over to the bed and flopped down on top of him.

"Oh my god, Cyrus, you're crushing me." He pushed on the larger boy's shoulders. "Get off, you're too heavy."

"I'm done." He breathed. "I'm finally done." Cyrus hugged his mate. "No more school, no more people getting into our business."

Liam laughed. "Well, we did prematurity mate."

He nuzzled the sub's neck. "I'm so sick of picking up garbage and cleaning that damn indoor park."

"Your dad loved it," Liam laughed. "He misses going with you after hours and running around in the fake forest. I think your father secretly takes him sometimes."

"I don't doubt it. And forantely for us, I'm eighteen now"—Cyrus kissed his mate's cheek—"I graduated school so there's no one can stop us anymore."

"Jesse will be here in the morning."

Cyrus let out an annoyed cry. "Why? I thought after their stupid couple bonding trip, they'd just stay there. I don't want those two here poking around."
