Cyrus tossed his book bag in his room and hurried down the hall to Jesse's room. "Liam?" He knocked and opened the door slightly.

The lights were off. Cyrus crept into the room and spotted a golden werewolf sleeping on the window seat. Liam seemed to shine in the light of the full moon. The dominant tiptoed over and knelt down. This beautiful creature was going to be his mate one day. He had spent barely any time with Liam. Christmas break couldn't have come at a better time.

"Liam," he whispered.

The sub opened his eyes. "Hey." He let out a sigh. "I thought you weren't coming home until tomorrow."

Cyrus ran a hand through the boy's head fur. "I want some time with you without Jesse and Daven being here."

Liam laughed. "They're spending Christmas with Daven's family and then coming here to do a late Christmas with us."

"Oh." Cyrus slumped forward. "Why didn't anyone tell me?"

"I talk to Jesse more than you. I've spent more time with them than you these last couple months, too," he laughed. "Are you still doing community service?"

With a huff, Cyrus laid his head on the seat. "I'm done, finally. My uncle decided I've been punished enough." He met the sub's gaze. "You look beautiful tonight."

Liam laughed. "I usually look haggard, right?"

Cyrus shook his head. "You're always beautiful but tonight there's just something special."

Waving his hand at the window, Liam smiled. "You marked a full moon junky."

"How does it feel?"

"Warm," Liam breathed. "Like a soothing warmth is wrapped around me."

Cyrus swallowed hard. "Jesse's room doesn't have the best view. You can see the moon a lot better from mine."

Liam grabbed the dominant's chin. "Are you trying to seduce me?"

"Not for a couple more months." Cyrus kissed the boy's palms. "I can't stand to do any more community services. But if you want to come to my room?"

The sub nodded. "You're going to have to carry me." Sitting up, he held out his arms.

Standing, Cyrus took off his clothes and changed forms. It was funny to see the sub in his weird hazy. He picked Liam up and carried him from the room. The sub's eyes were barely opened when Cyrus laid the boy on his bed. The young dominant hurried over to the window and threw back the curtains. The full moon rays spilled into the room. Liam let out a sigh and curled into a ball.

Cyrus stood to the side and watched his fiance. Why would anyone try to hurt him? Liam could be stubborn but he was sweet in his own way. The dominant's tail swished back and forth as he walked to the bed. He moved the pillow to the bottom of the bed where Liam was sleeping. Pressing up against the sub's back, he took in a deep breath of Liam's scent. As much as the sub found the full moon calming, for Cyrus it was Liam's smell. It helped reduce his anxiety and put his wolf side at ease.

Liam rolled over. "You'd never hurt me, right?"

"No. I could never do that."

The golden werewolf smiled. "I was always scared to go to sleep back home. I tried to obey him. I really did."

Cyrus hugged the golden werewolf. "I know that. You voice your opinion but you're nothing like Jesse."

Liam pressed into the other boy. "I never told you this, but at your birthday years ago, I overheard you talking to some other boys. You were talking about how I challenge dominants' ranks. It really hurt me."
