Chapter 8: The Hydro-Man

(One Week Later)

Y/N's POV

So it's been a week since Cole found out about me being the masked vigilante and I've just been stopping crime left and right.

Well people have been loving my name as Spider-Man. Though some people call me the Ultimate Spider-Man which is cool.

But there are still those who believe I do more harm than good. And of course there are those who love the idea of Ultimate Spider-Man.

But anyways right now I'm working as a photographer at the zoo as Robbie wanted me to get pictures of the animals for the back of the paper.

I go and stand in front of the tiger habitat and I take pictures.

Y/N: Man, how cool would it be to be a tiger?

Little boy: So cool.

I look down and see a little boy come stand next to me.

Y/N: It most certainly would be.

Little boy: I wanna be a tiger when I grow up.

I laugh at this.

Y/N: Well is also love to be one.

Little boy: Are you a photographer?

Y/N: Yes I am.

Little boy: That's so cool. Do you get pictures of everything?

Y/N: Well actually I tend to only take pictures of certain things because of the job I work.

Little boy: Where do you work?

Y/N: The daily bugle. Have you heard of it?

Little boy: Is it that place that takes all the cool pictures of Spider-Man?

Y/N: That would be the one.

Little boy: I love Spider-Man.

I kneel down to the little boy.

Y/N: Can I tell you a secret?

Little boy: Okay.

Y/N: I take pictures of Spider-Man.

Little boy: Really? That's so cool! Have you ever met him?

Y/N: You know what? I'm gonna give you something that you can never tell another soul about.

Little boy: Okay.

I open my bag and take a picture of me in my suit out and then I give it to the little boy.

Little boy: Whoa! This is so cool! I can keep it?

Y/N: Go ahead.

I then see a woman who looks as if she's looking for her child and I knew it was the little boys mother.

Y/N: Hey, now do me a favor and go back to your mom.

Little boy: Okay. Thank you, kind stranger!

I laugh as he runs to his mom.

Mary Jane: That was nice of you.

I stand up and turn around and see Mary Jane standing behind me.

Y/N: How long have you been here?

Mary Jane: Only a little bit. I saw you give that little boy a picture of Spider-Man.

Y/N: Yeah, he loves Spider-Man.

Mary Jane: I heard.

Y/N: He wants to be a tiger when he grows up.

MJ laughs at this.

Mary Jane: You have up a weekly paycheck just to make that little boy happy?

Y/N: Well...it's...yeah. Yeah I did.

Mary Jane: That's the nicest thing I ever seen.

Y/N: So, What are you doing here anyways?

Mary Jane: Robbie wanted me to get extra picture in case you were late.

I laugh as I start walking with MJ.

Y/N: I do tend to be late sometimes.

Mary Jane: Can I ask you a question?

Y/N: Yeah.

Mary Jane: Have you met Spider-Man? Like personally?

Y/N: Uh....

MJ stops and laughs.

Mary Jane: Oh my god. You know him?

Y/N: Well I mean not personally personally but yeah we've spoken on occasion.

Mary Jane: Wow, I'm impressed.

Y/N: Well I should get going. I have pictures I gotta print before deadline.

Mary Jane: Of course. It was nice seeing you Y/N.

Y/N: You too, MJ.

Then I leave the zoo and start walking down the street.

Then I hear sirens and I look up and cop cars past me.

I chuckle as I run into the ally and change out of my clothes and I come out the other side and web swing to the sirens.

When I arrive to where the cops stopped I see it's in front of the bank.

I land on the ground and see water everywhere.

I step in puddle which causes water to splash on my suit.

Y/N: What the hell?

Then I walk inside the bank and my spider sense goes off and I jump to the ceiling.

Then a man forms inside the water as it rises and my eyes widen when it becomes an actual man.

???: Your the freak I've heard so much about.

Y/N: Sadly I've heard nothing about you, fire hydrant.

???: You can go ahead and call me, Hydro-Man.

Y/N: Hyper-Man? That's a little too on the nose don't you think?

Hydro-Man: It's Hydro-Man.

Y/N: Yes well why don't you do us both a favor and stand down and give yourself up.

He starts laughing.

Hydro-Man: Make me.

I nod to him.

Y/N: Okay.

Then I jump at him but I just go through him and I hit the ground.

Then I look up and he reforms.

Hydro-Man: You can't stop me, bug.

Y/N: I prefer spider.

Then I start shooting my webs at him but they just go right through him.

Y/N: Uh-oh.

Then water comes out of his hands and hits me and I go through the wall into the next room.

Y/N: Ow. That's gonna leave a mark.

Hydro-Man: You should really stay down.

Y/N: That's not exactly my pamphlet.

Then I look around and I get an idea and I web the fire extinguisher and throws it at him and it explodes.

Then when it clears I see that Hydro-Man is gone.

Y/N: That was weird.

I then get out of there before Jonah can blame me for the bank robbery.
