Chapter 61: Avengers.....

(One Week Later)

(Upstate New York)

Y/N's POV

It's been one week since the avengers defeated Ultron and we are now in the new Avengers compound in upstate New York.

Steve, Tony and I are saying farewell to Thor who is leaving earth.

Steve: The rules have changed.

Tony: We're dealing with something new.

Steve: Well, vision is artificial intelligence.

Tony: A machine. So, it doesn't count?

Y/N: No, it's not like a person lifting a hammer.

Steve: Right, different rules for us.

Y/N: Nice guy, artificial. But I am the only other person besides Thor who can lift the hammer.

Steve and Tony chuckle.

Thor: He can wield the hammer, he can keep the mind stone. It's safe with the vision. And these days, safe is in short supply.

We stay silent for a moment.

Steve: But if you put the hammer in an elevator....

Tony: It would still go up.

Y/N: Elevators not worthy. I am though.

Thor puts his hand on my shoulder.

Thor: I'm gonna miss these little talks of ours.

Y/N: Not if you don't leave.

Thor: I have no choice. The mind stone is the fourth of the infinity stones to show up in the last few years. It's not a coincidence.

The four of us then head outside.

Thor: Someone has been playing an intricate game and has made pawns of us. And once all these pieces are in position...

Tony: Triple Yahtzee.

Steve: You think you could find out what's coming?

Thor: I do.

Thor pats Tony on the chest.

Thor: Besides this one, there's nothing that can't be explained.

Thor nods and uses the bifrost to leave earth.

Tony: That man has no regard for lawn maintenance.

We start walking to the drive way.

Tony: I'll miss him though. And you're gonna miss me. There's gonna be a lot of manful tears.

Steve: I will miss you, Tony.

Tony: Yeah? Well it's time for me to tap out. Maybe I should take a page out of Barton's book. Build Pepper a farm, hope nobody blows it up.

Steve: The simple life.

Tony: You'll get there one day.

Steve: I don't know. Family, stability...The guy that wanted all that went in the ice 75 years ago. I think someone else came out.

Tony then opened his car door.

Tony: You all right?

Steve: I'm home.

Tony looks at me.

Tony: Spidey, that suit of yours is ready when you wanna come get it.

Y/N: Thanks Tony.

I shake his hand.

After Tony drives us, Steve walks inside to go see the new recruits while I go get Natasha.

I walk in and see Nat looking at a wall.

Y/N: You wanna keep staring at a wall, or do you wanna go to work? I mean it's a pretty interesting wall.

Nat walks over to me.

Natasha: I thought you, Steve and Tony were still gazing into each other's eyes. How do we look?

I hand her a tablet.

Y/N: Well, I think Steve would say we're not the 27 Yankees.

Natasha: We got some hitters.

Y/N: They're good. They're not a team yet.

Natasha: Well, maybe we can help beat them into shape.

Nat and I then walk through a door with Steve in the middle as we look at the newest recruits to the Avengers.

James Rhodes Warmachine, Vision, Sam Wilson Falcon, Cole Page Artemis, Felicia Hardy Black Cat, and lastly Wanda Maximoff Scarlet Witch.

We look at the newest recruits.

(Just imagine Y/N is standing on the other side of Steve.)

Steve: Avengers.......
