Chapter 46: The Cat And The Spider

(The Next Day)

Y/N's POV

As I'm swinging through the city, I have a conversation with Miles on the phone who is still wanting to do some training and use my web shooters.

I tell him after all this is done with Black Cat that will get to training.

Then after this, I go and get some lunch.

(Two hours later) 

So I'm now sitting on a rooftop and I get a call from MJ.

Y/N: Hey MJ.

Mary Jane: Hey Y/N, I followed up on that license plate and it's registered to a storage company that's owned by an old friend of Hammerhead's. I'm there now. 

Y/N: Okay, give me a few minutes, I'll be there as soon as I can. 

I then hang up.

After I finish my pizza I go to MJ.

Once I get there I see her jump a fence and I perch from a web line and lower myself down and tap her on the shoulder.

She jumps back and gets into a fighting stance. 

Y/N: Whoa. Whoa. It's me. Sorry. 

Mary Jane: What are you doing here?
And why do you smell like pizza? 

Y/N: Because I just had a pizza. 

Mary Jane: Well, while you were out enjoying lunch I was here gathering evidence and trying to find a missing child. 

Y/N: I ate as fast as I could. 

Mary Jane: Look, I've gotta go. I'll call you later. 

As MJ walks away I feel something going on in my stomach. 

Y/N: Damn, note to self. Never do an upside downie after a double pepperoni. Yikes. 

I then web zip back up and start swinging again.

(Three Hours Later) 

After about three hours or so I get acall from Felicia. 

Felicia: Hey Spider, I need your help. I'll send you the location. 

Y/N: Felicia, what's going... 

Before I could finish she hangs up. 

Y/N: Unbelievable. She just expects me to rush on over. 

I then realize something. 

Y/N: And here I am. Rushing on over. 

After about ten minutes I make it to the location and I land down next to Felicia in a crouched position. 

Y/N: So, what are we looking at? 

Felicia: Got a tip from an old friend. Hammerhead is keeping something valuable in that office above the bar. 

Y/N: A lotta guys in there. 

Felicia: If they see me, my son is dead. 

Y/N: Alright, I'll draw them out while you sneak inside. 

As I get ready I see Felicia looking at me. 

Felicia: My hero. 

Y/N: Just go. 

She laughs and jumps down. 

I then web zip and take down one of the Maggia guys.

(Five Minutes Later) 

After five minutes or so Felicia comes out and joins the fight. 

We then take down the men until there's one left. 

Felicia lands on a beam behind him. 

Felicia: You first Spider. 

I run at him then jump over him and kick him in the back. 

Once I land in a crouched position Felicia lands on the ground jumps over me and kicks him in the face which knocks him out. 

She then goes over to the bar and she grabs a drink and sits down. 

Y/N: So, did you find the location of the vault? 

Felicia: Unfortunately no, but we're narrowing it down for sure. And it's definitely where he's keeping my son. 

Y/N: Yeah, about him. There's an overdue conversation we need to have. But I'll start by asking the lighter stuff. Such as what's his name? How old is he? 

Felicia: Do you ever miss this? 

Y/N: What? Me getting shot at while you steal things? 

Felicia: After I left I really did try going straight. I got a job that didn't involve breaking or entering. Even started wearing sweat pants on the weekends. 

Y/N: I wondered where you went after you left. It couldn't have been easy, especially with a kid. 

Felicia nods and does a roll off the back of the chair and lands on her feet. 

She walks over to me. 

Felicia: I need to go deeper if I'm gonna find him. 

Y/N: Then let me help. If we're supposed to be working together... 

She puts her hand on the back of my head and pulls me close to her. 

Felicia: Some things I do better alone. (Whispers) Some things. 

She uses her grappling hook to zip up to a beam. 

Felicia: It's Bartholomew by the way. 

I look at her. 

Y/N: Bartholomew? 

Felicia: My son's name. It's Bartholomew, or Barry for short. 

I smile. 

Y/N: That's a nice name. 

She smiles then grapple hooks away. 

I then web zip off in the other direction. 

After that I call MJ to see if she has any sources that can tell her about a vault that Hammerhead has which could be where he's keeping Felicia's son.
