Chapter 52: Avengers Tower

(Queens, New York)

Y/N's POV

So after another hour we finally make it back to the Avengers Tower in New York.

The quinjet lands on the platform outside.

Natasha and I then help Dr. Cho get Clint to the med bay.

Once we're in the med bay Clint wants something to drink, so I leave to go and get some drinks.

When I walk out I bump into the Bruce.

Bruce: So, how's he doing?

Y/N: Well, he's still Barton.

Bruce: That's terrible.

Y/N: I'm kidding. He's fine, he's just thirsty.

After a few minutes I return with the drinks and hear Dr. Cho talking.

Dr. Cho: The cradle I have at my lab could do this in twenty minutes.

I walk in and put the drinks down.

Y/N: Oh no, he's flat-lining call it.

I pretend to look at a watch on my wrist.

Y/N: Time.

Natasha giggles at this.

Clint: No no no, I'm gonna live forever. I'm gonna be made of plastic.

Dr. Cho: You'll be made of you Mr. Barton. Your girlfriend won't be able to tell the difference.

Clint: I don't have a girlfriend.

Dr. Cho: That I can't fix.

When Tony comes into the room Dr. Cho looks at him.

Dr. Cho: This is the next big thing Tony. Your metal suits are gonna be left in the dust.

Tony: Well that is exactly the plan. And Helen I expect to see you at the party in three days, feel free to bring a plus one.

Dr. Cho: Unlike you I don't have alot of time for parties.

She then looks down.

Dr. Cho: Will Thor be there?

Y/N: Ah, looks like she has her eyes on a god.

He chuckles.

Y/N: Wait, we can bring a plus one?

Tony: Of course. Who are you thinking?

I think about Felicia for a minute but of course I have no idea where she is.

Y/N: Nobody.

Tony: Don't worry charlotte's web, you'll find someone who lives the giddy, characteristically, funny, weird edge you got going on.

I nod.

Y/N: Well imma head to my room.

I turn around and walk out of the room and as I'm walking I realize something Tony said.

Y/N: Charlotte's web? Oh no, that's probably gonna stick just like he made Spidey stick.

I chuckle.

Y/N: Dammit Stark.

(Ten Minutes Later)

So I'm now in my room and I'm working on my new A.I which is identical to Tony's Jarvis.

Tony's been helping me with it though I've put the finishing touches on it.

I've decided to name the A.I Rose. I don't know why, I just like the name.

Y/N: And she's finished.

After I'm done I turn Rose on.

Rose: Hello, Mr. L/N. How may I be of assistance?

Y/N: Hello, Rose. Can you run a diagnostics on your system please?

Rose: Of course. It should only take a few minutes.

Y/N: Great.

I then go into the bathroom and after I'm done I wash my hands.

I grab a towel and walk out of the bathroom and I look up and see Felicia standing at my door.

Y/N: Felicia?

She smiles.

Felicia: Hey Spider.

She walks into my room and looks around.

Felicia: This is a nice room you got here.

I go over and sit on my bed.

Y/N: Well it's not much but it's something.

Felicia: It's nice.

She looks at me.

Felicia: How are you?

Y/N: I'm good. You?

Felicia: Well I was on my way to Chicago. You'll imagine my surprise when I get a call from someone named Natasha Romanoff.

Y/N: Natasha called you?

Felicia: She said and I quote, "We're having a party and Y/N seems down, maybe you could come and cheer him up."

I chuckle.

Y/N: That does sound like Natasha.

Felicia: I have been known to cheer you up.

Felicia comes over and sits next to me.

Felicia: How's Barry?

Y/N: You'd know if you would have stayed.

She looks down at the ground and j instantly regret saying what I said.

Y/N: I'm sorry.

She looks up at me.

Felicia: No. Your right.

Y/N: No. You needed to go off and find out who you are besides just black the criminal. Hopefully now your black cat the hero.

She laughs.

Felicia: I'm getting there, Spider.

She grabs my hand.

Felicia: I have missed you.

Y/N: I've missed you too.

We stare at each other for a minute as I lean in.

Then Rose beeps and Felicia pulls away.

Felicia: Saved by the beep.

She stands up and starts to walk out of the room.

I then stand up.

Y/N: Wait....

She stops and faces me.

Y/N: Will you go to the party? You know, with me?

Felicia: Hmm...

Y/N: And not as the Ultimate Spider-Man and Black Cat.

Felicia: Who would we go as?

Y/N: Y/N L/N and Felicia Hardy.

She thinks for a minute and then she answers.

Felicia: I'll think about it.

She then leaves my room.

I smile and turn around.

Y/N: She'll think about it.

I then check on Rose and after I realize something.

Y/N: Wait, what if she doesn't come? Is it a good sign when a girl says, "I'll think about it."?

I sit down.

Y/N: Is it a good sign when Felicia says, "I'll think about it."?

I sit here for a minute and think about Felicia.

She'll come, I know she will. We've had a relationship in the past, it didn't always end on the right terms but we had a relationship.

Maybe this time will be different, or at least I hope it will be.
