Calum

"Fuck!" I sighed as I heard the front door slam shut.

"Fucking hell!" Calum yelled as he shot up the stairs. I followed him up, sighing as he disappeared into the music studio that he'd made out of the spare room. I walked along and opened the door. I walked in and bit my lip as I saw him hunched over his bass, plucking gently at the strings.

"I've got a long-term plan with short-term-fuck!" he groaned as he put the bass down and rested his head in his hands.

"What's up, babe?" I asked as I crossed my arms over my chest. He sighed and shook his head before looking at me.

"I just can't get the fucking song right. Did that sound right to you?" he asked.

"It sounded fine, baby." I shrugged. He sighed before looking down again.

"I've just...I've lost my touch with this album." He mumbled.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"It's just taken me so much longer to get the bass lines right on this album. I don't know, babe." He sighed. I returned it before taking his face in my hands.

"Trust me, Cal, you've not lost your touch. In any departments." I chuckled. He laughed before kissing me.

"Thank you." He smiled. I returned it before kissing him again.

Luke

I walked into the studio and greeted the guys.

"Hey." I smiled, handing them each a coffee.

"Oh my god, I love you." Ashton sighed as he took a sip.

"Don't let Luke hear you say that." I chuckled as I put my bag down and looked into the recording studio where Luke was. He smiled at me and blew me a kiss before putting the headphones on.

"Okay, Luke, you ready?" John asked through the mic. Luke nodded.

"I woke up in the place we started, your clothes on the floor in that old apartment, I never thought you'd leave without a trace." Luke sang before stopping.

"Luke, you're singing too low." John sighed. Luke returned it before putting the headphones back on.

"What was wrong with that?" I asked Calum.

"He's been singing it wrong all day." He sighed. I returned it before looking at Luke.

"Right, take a break. Go over the chords again, and then we're trying this again." John spoke before looking at me.

"Talk to him, would you?" he asked. I nodded before walking into the recording studio.

"Hey, baby." I smiled.

"Hey." He sighed.

"What's up?" I asked as I wrapped my arms around his waist.

"I've just been getting the songs wrong all day. I can't get them right for the life of me." He mumbled.

"I'm sure you'll get it eventually. You always do." I nodded.

"Thanks, babe." He nodded before pressing our lips together.

Michael

"Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm." I sighed and opened my eyes as I heard Michael humming to himself.

"Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm." He continued as he grabbed his guitar.

"Mikey, I love you, but some of us are trying to sleep." I mumbled. He looked over his shoulder and smiled.

"Sorry, babe, I didn't mean to wake you, but now that you're up, I want your opinion on this song." He spoke.

"Okay then." I nodded as I sat up and crawled over to him.

"You ready?" he asked. I nodded as I kissed his shoulder.

"Because I've got a jet-black heart, and there's a hurricane underneath it, trying to keep us apart." He sang gently.

"You know what, it doesn't matter, it's not a good song." He shook his head and put his guitar down.

"No, babe, that was good." I smiled.

"You don't have to lie to save my feelings, baby girl, it's okay." He chuckled.

"No, love, it's really good. I love it." I smiled.

"Do you really?" he asked.

"Of course, from what I've heard, it's really nice." I reassured. He smiled before kissing me.

Ashton

"I'm home!" I yelled as I shut the front door. Nothing. My eyebrows furrowed.

"Babe?" I called out. Nothing.

"Ash, babe?" I yelled. I sighed as I walked into the kitchen and saw Ashton sitting at the table, headphones on as he looked at his laptop. I put my arms over his shoulders and kissed his cheek before pulling his headphones off.

"Oh, hey, babe." He smiled as he kissed me.

"Hey, what you doing?" I asked, kissing his neck.

"I'm listening to this demo that I did today in the studio." He sighed.

"And what's with the sigh?" I asked.

"It's shit." He shrugged.

"Oh, babe, I'm sure it's not." I chuckled.

"No, love, it is. It really is." He mumbled.

"Let me listen." I spoke. He shrugged before giving me the headphones. I put them on and listened to the song.

"It's good." I smiled.

"No, it's not-."

"Babe, you sound amazing, I promise." I nodded. He sighed and returned the nod before pecking my lips.
