Calum

I stood at my locker, sifting through the various books and homework and sorting the urgent from the non-urgent. I sighed as I turned my head to see Calum Hood and his little posse staring at me, chuckling. Calum and his friends were considered the cool ones in the year group, and even though he was attractive, he was an ass. I sighed before flipping them off and starting to walk away.

"Hey! Wait up!" I turned back around to see Calum jogging towards me.

"What do you want, Hood?" I sighed.

"I've accepted a bet where I have to chat you up and get your number." He spoke. I scoffed at his bluntness.

"You're telling me this because?" I asked. He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Well, the thing is, I think you're actually really cool, so I don't want to chat you up, get your number, and then just ditch you. So, what I'm suggesting is that you give me your number, and I call you later?" he asked. My eyes widened.

"How do I know this isn't just the bet? How do I know that you're actually going to call me?" I questioned. He sighed.

"I promise, okay? I actually quite like you, and I would genuinely like to get to know you. What do you say?" he spoke quietly. I sighed as I ripped a bit of paper out of my book and wrote my number on it, handing it to Calum and making him smile.

"If you don't call me, you can expect a hard kick in the nuts tomorrow." I chuckled.

"Don't worry, you'll get that call." He promised as he leant down and pressed his lips against my cheek.

"See you later." He smiled as he walked off.

Luke

I walked through the school corridors, my books clutched tightly in my arms and my ears filled with the sound of All Time Low. I looked down to change the song and before I knew it, my books were on the floor. I sighed as I leant down to pick them up, pulling out one of my ear buds.

"Oh, my god, I'm so sorry." Someone spoke. I looked up to see Luke Hemmings, on the floor next to me, helping to pick up my loose sheets.

"It's alright, it was my fault anyway." I muttered.

"No, it wasn't, I wasn't looking." He insisted, making me smile at him.

"I didn't know that you listened to All Time Low." Luke stated as he looked at my phone.

"There's a lot you don't know about me." I chuckled as we stood up.

"Actually, that's part of the reason why I was coming to talk to you." He spoke nervously. I looked at him expectantly.

"You seem like a really cool person. So, I was wondering if we could get to know each other over a coffee or something?" he asked slowly.

"Are you asking me out, Luke?" I asked, chuckling slightly.

"I guess I am, yeah." He chuckled. I smiled before reaching for his phone that was clasped in his hands, putting my number in and handing it back.

"Pick me up at seven." I smiled as I turned and walked away.

Michael

"I can't believe that I got my first detention because of you." I spat at Michael. He just sat there, smirking his ass off.

"This is your first detention? Like, ever?" He smirked. I nodded, smiling at him sarcastically.

"So, we've been at this school for four years, and this is your first detention? How the hell did you manage that?" he laughed.

"Well, it's surprisingly easy if you're not a dick who likes to try and show off to his friends by being a smart arse." I scowled. He just continued to laugh at me before heading to the window.

"What are you doing?" I asked as he ran his finger under the edge of the windowsill.

"I've been enough detentions to know that there are certain weaknesses in these windows." He spoke before smacking his hand against the ledge and making the window creak open. I stood from the desk and walked to him.

"How do you do that?" I questioned. He just tapped the side of his nose, making me roll my eyes. He put one leg out of the window.

"You're not skipping detention, are you?" I spat, disgusted at the very idea.

"Oh, my god, you're such a teacher's pet." He smirked.

"What if you get caught?" I asked.

"The teacher stays for five minutes, then comes back at the end to let us out, she never actually stays for detention. We won't get caught." He reassured.

"We?" I scoffed.

"Well, you are coming, aren't you?" he asked. I sighed before taking his hand and climbing out of the window.

Ashton

"This is useless." I huffed as I threw down my pencil.

"It's not, you've nearly got it, you just forgot the last bit of the equation." Ashton encouraged. I was currently in the process of failing maths, so Ashton had agreed to tutor me to get my grades back up. But it wasn't working.

"You know what, fuck this. I'll just fail maths, not get any qualifications, not go to university, throw my life away, and go to work in my uncle's diner for the rest of my life." I sighed. He chuckled at me.

"You're not going to fail, Y/N." he spoke.

"How can you be so sure?" I asked.

"Because you're a really smart girl who just needs to have a bit of trust in herself." He sighed.

"You think that I'm smart?" I asked quietly. He looked at me.

"Of course I do." He smiled, making me return it.

"Thanks, Ash." I spoke.

"Are you free after school?" he asked suddenly after a moment of silence.

"Yeah, why?" I replied.

"I was, er, wondering if...if you'd like to go out with me?" he responded quietly.

"Like a date?" I asked, biting my lip to suppress my smile. He thought for a moment before answering.

"Yeah, like a date." He stuttered.

"I would love to, Ash." I smiled.

"Great." He returned my smile before leaning in and pressing a kiss against my cheek.
