Calum

I opened my eyes to see my window being slid open. I sat up as a figure rolled in through my window and shot up, making me scream.

"Oh, shit, sorry!" the boy winced.

"Who the fuck are you, and why are you in my room?!" I hissed, standing up.

"I'm Calum, I'm your new neighbour and I missed my curfew, so I need to hang out at yours tonight." He spoke sheepishly.

"I'm not sure if you've noticed, but we've literally just met." I scoffed.

"Yeah, but your brother's Luke, right?" he asked. I nodded.

"See, we're already friends, so I'll just bunk with him tonight." He shrugged. I sighed and nodded.

"What's your name, baby girl?" he smiled.

"Luke gets very protective over me, so I wouldn't call me that again-."

"What's your name?" he chuckled.

"Y/N." I replied.

"Nice to meet you, Y/N." he smiled, reaching out his hand. I reluctantly shook it before withdrawing my hand.

"Well, it was nice meeting you, I should get to Luke now." He shrugged, heading to my door and opening it before turning back to me.

"We should hang out." He decided.

"Sure." I nodded.

"Great. I'll see you later." He smiled before leaving my room.

Luke

I walked along the pavement, on my way home. My eyes drifted towards my neighbour's house. I smiled to myself as I saw the garage door open and a boy sitting with a guitar on his lap.

"She sleeps alone, my heart wants to come home, I wish I was, I wish I was, beside you." He sung gently. I quietly walked up the path and towards him.

"She lies awake, I'm trying to find the words to say, I wish I was, I wish I was, beside you."

"That was beautiful." I spoke. He whipped around and his eyes widened.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." I muttered. He looked down as a blush crept across his cheeks.

"No, it's okay, I'm just...not used to an audience." He shrugged, making me smile.

"You write it yourself?" I asked.

"Um, yeah, I wrote it because I had to break up with my ex-girlfriend to move here." He spoke.

"Oh...I'm sorry." I sighed.

"It's okay." He smiled.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Luke, what about you?" he replied.

"Y/N." I smiled.

"Pretty name for a pretty girl." He returned, making me chuckle.

"So, what would it take for me to get a tour of the town with you?" he asked.

"If you ask nicely, maybe I could." I chuckled.

"Alright. Will you show me around?" he asked.

"Sure." I nodded.

"Great." He smiled. I chuckled and shook my head before walking to my house.

Michael

I sat on my bed, looking at the notes that lay across the sheets. Suddenly, I heard my door open but I didn't look up.

"What do you want, Calum?" I sighed, assuming that it was my brother.

"Um, I'm not Calum." I looked up to see a boy about Calum's age, with bright red hair. My eyes widened.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I'm Michael, your new neighbour." He smiled.

"And what are you doing in my room?" I questioned.

"I thought it was your bathroom." He chuckled.

"Wait, what are you even doing in my house?" I scoffed.

"So many questions." He tutted, smirking at me.

"How about you answer them?" I smiled sarcastically. He chuckled, shaking his head.

"I'm in your brother's class, we got talking, he invited me over." He shrugged.

"Right." I nodded as I stood up. Suddenly, an awkward silence filled the air.

"Didn't you need the bathroom?" I chuckled.  He returned it and nodded.

"Yeah, I sort of need some help finding it." He spoke sheepishly. I chuckled again and shook my head before walking up to him.

"You see the white door at the end of the hall?" I asked, making him nod.

"That's the bathroom." I spoke.

"Thanks. See you later." He smiled before heading towards the door.

Ashton

I opened my front door and yawned as I walked down the path to my mail box. I opened it and grabbed the mail before starting to sift through the different envelopes. I turned around and suddenly, all of the mail scattered across the ground.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry." The boy mumbled as he bent down and started to pick everything up. I studied him for a moment. His curly hazel hair flopped over the frames of his glasses that covered his equally hazel eyes. He smiled and stood up, giving me the letters.

"Thanks, are you new around here?" I asked.

"That obvious, huh?" he chuckled.

"It's a small town." I smiled. He nodded before pointing behind him.

"I just moved in next-door actually. With my parents, my brother and my sister." He nodded.

"Awesome. Which school are you joining then?" I asked.

"Sydney High School." He spoke.

"That's where I go." I replied.

"Aw, nice, maybe you could give me a tour of the town and show me the ropes?" he smirked.

"Sure thing." I chuckled.

"Great." He smiled before heading back to his house.

"Hey, I didn't catch your name." I realised.

"I'm Ashton." He spoke.

"Y/N." I said, making him smile.

"Beautiful name. It suits you." He grinned.

"Thanks." I chuckled before heading back to my own house.
