Chapter 56~!

"Melina~ Melina~ Would you wake up easily for once in your life? Seriously, girl! This is, like, totally insane!"

Poland's voice reached me somehow across the plains of my dreamworld, and I blinked awake slowly, trying not to get whiplash.

"Uuhhh... Why? What's goin'on?" I mumbled.

"Okay, girls. I think she's, like, awake now. Grab her!" Poland said, and two pairs of hands gripped me by my upper arms to drag me out of bed.

"What wait what? Heyyy!" I protested pitifully, not even bothering to struggle. "Canadaaa~? Little help?"

He just laughed a little and sat there, watching me. "I don't think I'd survive going up against any of those four even if they were by themself. You're on your own, Melina."

"But but but but!" I whined, just about out the door by then. "Meanie! Worst date ever!"

"You don't mean that," he said with another little laugh as the door shut behind me. I glanced up and gave Kadi a hard look.

"Did you really have to drag me out of bed? What is the meaning of this, anyway?"

"What's today, Scatter Brain?" she asked me.

"Valentine's Day," I answered instantly.

"And who has a life-changing date tonight with your best friend and potential future lover?"

"Future lover?" I yelped. "Come on, it's just as friends! God, Canada just asked me because we needed a date to get into the dance and we could have fun!"

Kadi snickered, as did Rayn, who was holding up my left side. "'Fun'... That could be taken in so many ways..."

"Ugh! Rayn, why are you even helping them?" I asked. "And who's this? I make it a point to know my kidnappers, after all."

"Hey there, girlie, I'm California! Everyone calls me by my human name, though, so call my Kylie, 'kay?" the tall blond gripping my right arm chirped. "You're Melina, the girl America was chatting all about at Thanksgiving!"

"Yeah, that's me," I said. "Nice to meet you. And hey, thanks for all that stuff you and some of the other states sent me, I really appreciated it."

"No prob! BTW, we need to get going, like, now."

"We have work to do, ladies!" Poland proclaimed, and I felt my stomach drop.

"Work? What kind of work?"

I got no reply.

"Okay, first thing's first! Shower or bath?" Kylie asked me.

"Uhm, shower?"

"You're getting a bath."

I sweatdropped. "Gosh, I feel so loved."

"And why wouldn't you? Now strip, girly!"

I facepalmed and did as I was asked (after insisting for some privacy, of course). "Why did you guys have to wake me up so early in the morning?"

"Because if we'd woken you up later, we wouldn't've had enough time, duh!" Kylie replied from the other side of the bathroom door. Kadi, Feliks, and Rayn had all left for the moment, so it was just Kylie and me.

"H-How long is this whole thing going to take?" I stammered fearfully.

"IDK, a while. We have a looot of work to do." She had a bit of a valley girl accent, might I add.
