I brushed my hair out and braided it with my private school's bow. Our pack and several other packs had two private school- Saint Luke's for the boys and Saint Patti's for the girls.

"Almost ready?" Corey asked. I smoothed my skirt.

"Yeah, just a minute," I said, latching my bracelet on.

"Morning sunshine," he said as I opened my bedroom door.

"Hey," I said. Corey took my hand and my wolf sighed. Hell, I sighed. It felt so good to be held by my mate. At least one in four.

"Beautiful Angie," he whispered.

"It's just my uniform. You see me in it every school day," I said. He touched my braid and smiled.

"But something is different today," he said. I blushed and bit my lip.

"Corey? Let's go!" Allen yelled, "I have to get all of you to school!"

"We are coming!" I yelled. I walked out and saw my other three mates standing there.

"Morning Angie," Logan said. I smiled.

"Shoes!" I exclaimed, running to my parents' room.

"Shoes?" Papa asked and I nodded, sliding on my saddle shoes.

"Bye. See you after school," I said, kissing Mama's and Papa's cheeks.

"Ready to go?" Allen asked, smiling at me.

"Yes, I am," I said, grabbing my bag and walked out. I slid into the front seat of Allen's truck.

It smells like mate. Lacey told me. I smiled. It did. I closed my eyes and rubbed my head against the seat.

"Hey. Angie. Seat belt," Allen said. I looked over and my surfer best friend was staring at me with a smile.

"Oh yeah. Lacey was distracting me," I said.

"Wolves tend to do that the first few weeks," Allen said. I smiled and put on my seat belt.

"We'll see you after school," Tank said, placing a soft kiss on my cheek as we arrived to Saint Luke's. Logan moved my braid and kissed my earlobe.

"Bye Angie," Corey said, giving me a hug and a quick kiss on my jaw.

"Bye," I whispered. Allen started driving to Saint Patti's. His hand reached down and grabbed my hand. Lacey whimpered in the name of safety.

"Morning Beautiful," he said, smiling at me.

"Morning Allen," I said. He squeezed my hand.

"First day at school since you turned eighteen," he said.

"I've been eighteen for less than two days," I said. My birthday was on a Saturday.

"Logan told us how long we have until... Well you know," he said. I bit my lip.

"I know and I am not looking forward to it," I said, sticking out my bottom lip.

"Listen, Angela," he said, "I know it's hard with everything going on. But I want to know this. I already talked to my parents. Your happiness is the most important thing in the world to me and if that means you are happier with Tank or Corey or Logan, then be it." I shook my head.

"No. Don't talk like that. I can't handle that. Not now, not ever," I said. He took a breath.

"I understand Angie. But we all just want you to be happy," he said.

"I'm happy right now. With the way things are. No stress. No worrying about impending deaths. Just us doing the same things we have done our whole lives," I said. He nodded.
