"Which one is this?" Yoongi questioned, pressing down a random key. He wasn't even looking at the piano, rather he was glancing sideways to look at the side profile of Jimin facing the opposite direction of the instrument.
"Hm," Jimin hummed, then almost instantly said, "That's an A."
"Very good," Yoongi praised, happy with Jimin's answer.
A bubble of delight erupted in Jimin's heart when he heard Yoongi's words, excited that he was doing well.
"This one?"
"...An E."
Humming in glee, Yoongi grinned as he pressed a black note. "How about this?"
Jimin scrunched his nose. "E flat, or a D sharp."
"You don't seem to like the black keys as much," Yoongi mused, watching Jimin from the corner of his eyes.
"Ah, it's not that. Just when you play them up or down in sequence with it's white key, it feels like hitting your foot halfway while climbing or descending the stairs," Jimin explained, slight malaise in his voice.
A muffled chuckle left Yoongi, his lips tightly shut in trying yet failing to make his laughter heard.
"That's the best description of the sharps and flats I've ever heard in my life."
Then, Jimin let out a giggle as well, glancing sideways at Yoongi who was glancing back, a glint of adoration in his eyes.
"Next one?"
Clearing his throat, Yoongi broke their gaze, cheeks heating up slightly as he prepared the next note to play.
"Right."
