Jade POV

It has been a month since that day. Harry and I are starting to hang out like that day didn't exist. Like it's just a small thing. Well, as they say, small things can make a big change and that change, changed me.

I've decided that I should put my mask back. I should put on a happy face and be the "jolly" kind of Jade.

I can't let him see me being so weak. It's just that, I'm doing this for him. I want to see him happy. I want him to experience love even though that love isn't what I wished to happen. I want it to be me but that would be impossible. He loves her. I can see it in his eyes.

I once read a quote that says,

"A part of letting go of someone is love."

For some of us, it would be cliche to think. What kind of love is that? That is the called sacrifice. Love is nothing without it and I'm doing this for my own good. For him to be happy.

I know that pretending to be happy is the worst happiness, but life goes on. Move on.

I was taken aback of my thoughts as mom barge to my room.

"Jade, I've been calling you for times already. Are you okay?"

I think it's time to put the mask on, Jade.

"I'm sorry, mom. I'm okay, it's just that, El and I are talking on the phone." I lied, flashing an innocent smile.

"You scared me, Jade. Now where am I..." mom said, furrowing her eyebrows. She does that when she forgot about something.

"Oh, I have a surprise for you!" she chirped, smiling.

"Really? What is it?" I asked.

She opened her bag and got a white short envelope.

"Open it!" she said, handing the envelope.

I grin at her and grab the envelope. As I tear the envelope my eyes widen.

It's my ticket to London!

I hug my mom tight, tears swelling from my eyes.

"Thank you, mom." I said.

"Anything for you sweetie. Just promise me that you'll call me anytime when you need something, okay?" she said. I nodded and hugged her for the second time.

"The flight is going to be three weeks from now. I booked it earlier because the tickets are easily sold if you'll book it the next day." Mom's right. She's really like that when it comes to travelling.

I somehow imagine what my life would become if I'll live in London. Would I have friends there, or am I going to be a loner? or what if people find me weird and they'll ignore me?

Okay, stop it. What if's suck. I'm going to enjoy this and all I have to do is to trust myself.

I snap out of my thoughts as mom wave her hand in front of me,

"Jade? Are you listening?" she said.

"I-I'm sorry. What is it, again?"

"I said, that what if you'll invite your friends here for a farewell party. The house will be all yours, but promise me that there will be no loud music, okay? It's not that I don't like but our neighbors will kill us. I hope you understand." mom said, squeezing my hand.

"It's okay, mom. It's not that I would have a big farewell party. I would just invite some of my college friends, Niall and Harry. That's all but I have a plan in mind.." I said.

"Sure, what is it?" mom said.

"How about we will have a camp fire near the lake? That would be cool and maybe I would just catch a ride with Niall in going home." I said, smiling.

"Okay just be careful and make sure you'll be home safe, okay?"

"I'm not a kid anymore, mom." I chuckled.

"Um, jade? I was just wondering if you told Harry about you going to London? Well, just to make sure. At least you'll see him the day before you go."

Shit. Harry.

I didn't tell him about this. I'm sure he would be mad at me for not telling him earlier and especially the days are already counted. Fuck.

"Um, mom, can I excuse myself for awhile?"

"No, no. I'll be out. I'm going to buy groceries. Bye, Jade."

"Bye, mom." I smile at her as she closed the door.

I dialed Harry's number and after 2 rings he picked up,

"Hi, jade. What's up?"

"Um, I have something to tell you and it's a bit important."

"Sure, um, by the way, I was just wondering if you're free for a band concert?" A concert? Oh my god. It would be cool. Bands are my life.

"Sure, I haven't gone into one for years already." I chuckled.

"It would be three weeks from now and I already got 2 VIP tickets for us."

"Sure- wait, 3 weeks from now?!" Oh god. It can't be.

"Yes. What's wrong?" he asked.

"H-Harry, it's just that... that day..."

"That day, what?" he asked.

"I'll be gone for London, Harry."
