Chapter 67

(__) POV

The battle continued but something weird was happening. Strange all the marines are leaving the bay. Why is that? Are they planning something? What could it be?
When Vice Admiral John Jay attacked Pops he used his powers to tilt the entire sea and the island along with it. Many of the marines were bewildered and frozen in fright from the sight of Pops powers.
"Wow, that was amazing I've never seen his powers in action like that before," I said to no one in particular.
"That's why they call him the strongest pirate in the world," Marco said from next to me.
Suddenly a blockade of metal walls closed us all in however one wall wasn't able to go all the way up. Oars Jr.'s body was too big for the walls to be moved and gave us a chance to still save Ace. Everyone was now filled with hope but that was quickly shattered.
Akainu finally joined the fight by sending multiple masses of lava up into the air so it could come crashing down on the ground.
"They're like meteorites!!" They lava meteors fell all along the ice attacking our men and melting the ice drowning them. Like that wasn't bad enough those who weren't melted by the ice were attacked by the Pacifistas or were attacked by the canons along the metal wall. Pops used his shockwaves to try to break one of the walls but all it did was leave a large dent in it. Suddenly a shadow covered the Moby Dick confusing both me and Marco. When we looked up a large-sized meter or was headed straight for us.
"It's coming for the ship!! Everyone leave now!" Marco commanded.
"Marco, I need you to give me a boost!"
"What!? What the hell are you pl-."
"We have to time just do it!" He nodded his head as a response. He backed away a bit and I ran towards him at full speed. I put my leg on his open hands and he boosted me up on the air with all his strength sending me flying straight for the large meteorite at top speed.
"What the hell is she doing!?!"
"She's gonna die!"
I ignored their yells and focused on the task at hand. I pulled out my Kusanagi ready to cut the meteor in half.
"One Sword Style: Kesi Giri!!!!!" A large (f/c) slash was sent straight in the middle of the meteor cutting it in half so it landed safely on both sides of the Moby Dick.
"Wow, she did it?!"
"Way to go (__)!!!"
"That was amazing!"
"That's our war goddess for you, kicking some ass!!"
"Thanks for the compliments and all but will someone save me I'm falling!!" I'm way too high up to land safely. This is going to hurt so much!
"Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed as the Moby Dick started getting closer and closer to me until eventually, I crashed right into it.
Wait a minute that didn't hurt at all.
"I feel fine."
"That's because I broke your fall." Marco groaned from under me.
"Huh? Ahh!! Marco are you alright!" I said quickly getting off of him.
"Yeah I'm fine," Marco said getting up to a sitting position.
"How's everything looking for us? Pretty bad isn't it." I said.
"You're right about that. There is one way to make it to Ace but that's a suicide run. They expect us to go there and once we do they'll shoot us down with those canons. No one would be dumb enough to go through there." All of a sudden we both hear a familiar war cry from a certain Straw Hat pirate.
"Of course Luffy would run right into the line of Fire," I said facepalming.
"Just like Ace," Marco said with a small smile. I got up and dusted the wood and dust off my clothes and headed to the edge of the ship.
"What the hell are you doing?"
"Helping of course."

I was running to Luffy when suddenly Oars Jr.'s body started moving. He lifted his arm a little before slamming it back in the ground. He's still fighting. To think he cared so much. It's so touching.
"Oars, no!!!!!!" Ace yelled. The marines fired multiple bullets at Oars in the hopes of finally killing him but he wouldn't die.

Right before Kizaru was able to use one of his light beams a column of water jumped into the air landing in front of the admirals with Luffy in it holding a log.
"I do respect your tenacity kid but it's not enough," Akainu said.
"That's right it's a fluke you got this far and you're to green to go forward." Aokiji added.
"Whatever gives you the idea you can defeat us?" Kizura said.
"BACK OFF!!!!!!" Luffy yelled throwing the log at them. Aokiji froze it and Luffy kicked it a bunch of times sending small pieces of ice at them. Ahh!! Luffy you idiot! What is he thinking!? Oh, wait what am I saying Luffy never thinks. I can't believe he's crazy enough to attack the admirals though.
Luffy used second gear to quickly pass by the admirals but that didn't work because Kizaru just appeared in front of him and kicked Luffy on his cheek. Crap I need to hurry up they are already starting his execution. The two men on the sides of Ace held their swords above their heads ready to kill him.
"Ace!!!!" They swung the swords down and right before it hit him the two men were killed by, Crocy!? "Crocy!?!"
"I can kill that old man whenever I feel like it but as for right now, I'm not going to let you taste victory. Not only that but it would be annoying for me if he dies and (__) gets all sad about it." I'm not sure why but what he said actually made me blush a little. I didn't think he cared about my feelings that much. Right after he finished talking a thin piece of string cut Crocy's head right off. Probably by Flamingo.
"Hey pal do you remember me," Flamingo says walking up to Crocy's headless body. "First you turn me down and now you wanna team up with Whitebeard. But that's not even what annoys me most. No. It's what you did to my little angel that pisses me off most."
"Deal with it." They stared at each other for a couple of seconds right before attacking one another. Everything seemed to stop as the two talked and that helped me finally be able to catch up. I think I'm going to let them fight it out. I don't want to be more involved in their argument more than I already am. I don't even get why Flamingo is so mad.
"Hey, Luffy!" I called our cutting down some marines.
"(__) you finally made it." I simply nodded as a response and joined him in the fighting. Suddenly Aokiji came out of nowhere and stabbed Luffy with an icicle. "Luffy! Are you alright!"
"Damn that hurt!" Luffy wailed on the floor. He lifted up the icicle with Luffy's blood on it to stab him again but I cut it in half before he could.
"I won't let you kill Luffy!"
"Ah so you're (__)." He said looking at me up and down. "The newspaper didn't lie you are hot. Oh, wait I shouldn't be saying that right now."
"Of course you aren't we're in the middle of a war!" I yelled at the admiral.

Me and Luffy got ready to leave again until a loud crash sounded from behind us. When I turned around I saw Moby Dick Jr. in the plaza with a boat full of pirates being carried by Oars Jr. Marines once again started attacking Oars Jr. and this time I think they killed him. Pops jumped off the ship and onto the plaza scaring the marines. With one slash from his sword, hundreds of marines were sent flying thanks to his devil fruit.
"Listen up pirates, bring Ace to safety and once you're done with that destroy the navy!!!!"
"Yeah!!!!"

Aokiji used his powers to freeze Pops but it didn't work as he was able to break out. Jozu took up fighting against Aokiji so Pops could focus on saving Ace. Luffy and I ran towards the scaffold where Ace was being held.
As we were running one of the Vice Admirals came seemingly out of nowhere and attacked Luffy. He tried to attack again but this time I blocked it; however, what I didn't notice was that another Vice Admiral attacked Luffy was I was distracted. Poor Luffy he's so tired he can barely even stand. Nearby I saw Kizaru fire one of his beams at Luffy.
"Luffy no!!" I yelled worriedly. I want to go help him but I'm surrounded by Vice Admirals.
"How many times has it been now that (__) saved you huh? If it weren't for her you would be dead now." Kizaru said walking over to Luffy's body and kicking it towards Pops. He was about to fire another beam until a familiar voice caught his attention.
"Just as I suspected didn't I tell you he was going to be in trouble." A very large-headed Ivankov said. "Is he still alive say something!" Pops threw Luffy to his men to be treated but he wouldn't listen. Eventually, I was able to break free so I ran over to his side.
"Luffy wakes up!" I yelled at him. I placed Luffy's now unconscious head on my lap as Pops and Akainu fought. The war continued on without us. The New World pirates that were stuck in the bay now joined the fight and the Pacifistas did as well. Marco used his mythical devil fruit powers to fly straight to Ace but he was forced down by a punch by Gramps
"Is he going to be alright?" I asked the doctor.
"First Aid isn't gonna cut it. We need to take him out of here fast." Luffy, he's overexerting himself.
"Quick carry Straw boy to the ship," Ivankov ordered. Suddenly Luffy reaches his hand to grab Ivankov leg stopping him in his tracks.
"Iva...I need one last favor from you...you know what I need...Iva help me..."
"You realize what the repercussions of this would be, right?"
"Luffy you can't mean..." I said sadly.
"Another hormone shot! Do you want to die? You're past your limit. I'm sorry kid but you have been burning your candle at both ends for too long. Have you forgotten that poison you went through? I saved you once so you wouldn't go kill yourself. I told you this last time my hormones aren't a magic fix me up you can take when something horrible goes wrong! I want to save Ace boy like you but if you keep misusing my power like this you'll die!"
"As long as I do everything I can... I don't care if I die...I'm begging you you have to let me fight... If I don't keep fighting they'll kill Ace because I wasn't there for him. Then I'd rather be dead anyway!!! Right now is the only fight that matters live or die!!"
"You dummy!! Whatever do I tell your dear old dad Dragon if you die like a dog by my deadly devil fruit power!! This stubbornness of your is not cute at all!!"
"Ace..."
"Iva just do it," I said.
"Oh fine! It's your life give us a good show!!!" Luffy got up to his feet now back to his usual strength.
"AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"
"Luffy let's go," I said getting up.
"Right." We both ran to the scaffold together side by side seeing that the execution was happening again. Marines that came after us were kicked or cut away with ease. We were stopped by a marine with pink hair and a yellow bandanna that seemed a bit familiar to Luffy. Luffy however easily punched him away with one hit. Then two Pacifistas stood in front of us ready to shot until Boa Hancock jumped in the way and ceased their attack. We took this chance to run away. Strange she looked so happy when Luffy thanked her, I wonder why?
