Chapter 55 : Chocolate cake.

Third person point of view

As soon as the alarm rang, Elijah woke up and went to Joshua's room to wake him up. He knocked on the door. " Joshua, are you awake ? " He heard a reply from inside which could be translated to ' yeah I did '. " You better wake up for real ". Elijah warned and walked back to his room. Once they were both prepared, they went to the gym. 

Like always Elijah trained him hard draining all his energy. Joshua sometimes wondered how he was even able to walk back home after punching and kicking so much. Joshua sat down on the couch. Elijah went to the kitchen to drink water. He came back and sat beside Joshua. " Do you know to swim ? " Elijah asked and Joshua nodded. 

" We will go there from time to time. Shall we go once tomorrow ? It will be a change for you too ". Joshua nodded. " Sounds good. But, should I really train this hard ? " " Think about how much you ran that day when Alex chased you and how your running got better because you have more stamina now. You will know the difference when the time comes ". Elijah said with confidence.

Joshua nodded like he was considering it. " True. My punches got stronger too. Want to try ? " Elijah put his hand up. " No thanks. I am fine ". Joshua chuckled. " Ughh.. I am so tired !!! " He slouched. " I will go take a shower ". Elijah stood up to go to his room. " Do it after you cook ? You will sweat again after you cook and the shower will be of no use ". 

Joshua said looking up at Elijah. Elijah nodded. " Then let me go see what I can make for breakfast ". " Make a lot. I am really hungry ". Elijah chuckled. " Fine ". Joshua fell on the couch in a sleeping position. He stayed like that for a while and then got up to go for a shower. He was all done and walked to the kitchen. Elijah was sitting in his place like always. 

He was sipping his favorite chocolate milk. Joshua sat down on the other chair. " You are really having that first thing in the morning ? " " It is sweet with milk so it will help boost my glucose levels ". " Really ? " Elijah nodded. Joshua didn't know if it would actually work that way, but he was not going to have a debate on it now. 

He finished the breakfast and cleaned up. He picked up his bag and everything and walked to the door. Elijah followed him and stood a few steps behind. Joshua turned back and went closer to Elijah. Joshua kissed his palm and put the palm to Elijah's cheek. " You are sweating real bad, so only that for now. See you in the evening. Bye ". 

He smiled and walked out. Elijah smiled and walked to the kitchen. He cleaned up the dishes he used and then went to take a shower himself. He reminded himself to call Nicholas to prepare a plan for them to go find James who is most probably their next target. He still needed to teach Joshua to handle guns and train in shooting as well. 

He wasn't sure how to talk about it to Joshua. He needed to find a way that wouldn't be as suspicious and still achieve what he wanted. He shook his head thinking he has so many things to do. " Ugh ! I am stressed ". He grumbled and got under the shower. Once he was done he decided to take a nap. His brain was working too much. 

After waking up, he heated up the food and finished eating that for lunch. He sat on the couch and called Nicholas. " I need you to make a plan for Joshua to find out about more things. He wants to do it ". Elijah said even before Nicholas can say hello. " Where are your manners ? At least show some respect you jerk ! " Nicholas yelled. 

" So ? " Elijah asked after a second. Nicholas let out a long sigh. " Fine. I will look for it ". " Okay ". Elijah hung up without a second delay. Nicholas stared at the blank screen of the phone in his hand; disappointed but not surprised. He shook his head putting his phone aside and continued with his work. 

Elijah brought out his laptop and checked a few mails. Once he was done, he put it aside letting his eyes rest for a while. He slept on the couch for a while. But he started feeling bored in a few minutes and went to the kitchen. He looked around and a few things caught his eye. He took out his phone. 

He searched for a recipe wanting to cook. He was able to find a recipe he liked. He checked and noticed he was missing a few ingredients. He walked out of the house after picking up his wallet and went to the nearest store to get them. Once he got them, he came back home and got to work.

Joshua entered the house and was hit by baking smell. It was a sweet aroma. He put his bag aside and walked to the kitchen to see Elijah frosting the cake. " Wow ". " Hey ". Elijah smiled and stood up straight. " How is it ? " " It looks really good. Chocolate cake ? " " You can call that ". Joshua's eyebrows shot up. " Then what is it originally ? " 

" It is called Chocolate Milk Bundt Cake ". " Now you are using that even in the recipes ? " Elijah rolled his eyes. " You should complain if it isn't tasty ". Elijah scowled. Joshua chuckled. " I didn't say it wouldn't be tasty though ". Elijah gave a blank face. Joshua raised his hands like he is surrendering. " So ? Will you let me taste it ? " 

Elijah cut a slice and gave it to Joshua. " Thank you ". Joshua took a bite and closed his eyes savoring the taste. " It is so good ". " Really ? " Joshua nodded. Elijah gave a big grin in return. " Here ". Joshua raised his hand to feed it to Elijah. Elijah leaned forward and ate it. He nodded after tasting it. 

" It is nice ". Joshua scowled. " Come one now. Don't say it so plainly. You are just being too hard on yourself. Have some confidence in your own cooking, will you ? " Elijah chuckled. Joshua took another bite. " It is so tasty and you are saying that. Tsk, tsk. Very bad ". Joshua shook his head and walked to the couch along with his plate.

Joshua is a really nice guy. He woke up when asked to. I literally give my mom motivational ted talks/ speeches or philosophy class over life, happiness and all that when she wakes me up when I don't want to. I just keep saying absolute nonsense and all kinds of bullshit. 😂🤣 She used to say what are on about now or things like that, but later she stopped caring. 😂 She keeps doing her things and I do mine. 😂🤣 Even my BR would literally start screaming. Joshua is a certified nice guy. 😂

This guy's cooking skills are on a different level. 👌🏻👍🏻 Joshua is really lucky to have a boyfriend who can cook. 🤧

Elijah : Both. (smirk)
