Ch.59 Black Frost

Sakusa's POV

"How do I put this...I feel like you're actually  a lot more average...than the reputation everyone seems to have of you." 

That pisses me off. I've worked hard. Paying attention to everything and doing more reps to stay on Wakatoshi-kun's level. I am the number 1 Ace in the nation. He has no idea what reputation I need to maintain. It's all because my shoulders felt weird all day. His words mean nothing to me. He's just part of that some team. I can't believe Beautiful Snow's cousin's so rude. And his name's Kageyama. No wonder. It's from her Mother's side. It annoys me. I sighed, ignoring everyone else and went to sleep. Didn't want to look at my phone, knowing that her messages to me hasn't been read. 

I need time to think and recollect myself.

Miyuki's POV

I walked down alone to the gym. My head's a bit spinning. It must be Kiyo-kun's attitude. Or it must be I didn't get enough sleep. I just want to focus on volleyball. Yesterday was pretty strict. But I persisted on breaking down or quitting. 

I hate to be degraded by others. Now, it's a new day and a fresh start on the court again. 

"Icy Blue-chan!" I turn to see Atsumu walking by me. "Good morning!"

"Morning." I nodded to him while silently walking. "May u call me something shorter? It feels like you have a lot to say. Try something more simple." 

"Ooh, you right." Atsumu grins and placed his hands on his hips. "How about Icy-chan?" 

"Better." I nodded as we entered the gym. I see that Kiyo-kun is on the court stretching his arms. As I walked in, I gave him a quick glance while walking to the girls' court. "Bye, Atsumu." 

"Bye Icy-chan!" He waves as I turn towards the girls. My stomach was turning in that moment because Kiyo-kun gave me a hostile look that I've never seen since the day I met him.  I just hope he can relax. No. I just hope I can talk to him after this. I return a wave at Shaira who was smiling. 

"Hey, Tobio-kun wanted to know if you're okay." Shaira informs me as I joined the circle. 

"Just some boyfriend problems. Nothing to worry about for him." I replied, stretching my arms, getting warmed up to play. 

"Oh, he's Sakusa, right?" Shaira whispers since other girls were around us. I nodded as she giggles softly along with Natsumi, Rika, and Kimika looking towards Kiyo-kun. 

"Right, I saw you both at Shiratorizawa." Kimika chimes in. 

"We all saw them together at Shiratorizawa." Natsumi snorted as I couldn't help but chuckle, agreeing with her. The female coaches called us over so I got a quick look at Kiyo-kun before 6 girls went on each side of the court. I relaxed my shoulders, feeling my shoulder blades clicking a bit as I am in the front row, starting on the left. Shaira is my Setter, Kimika's my Libero and we're against Natsumi, Rika, and 4 other girls. 

"Alright, let's play!" The Coach of the Women's National Team announces as she tosses a ball to Shaira. 

"Watch the left!" My Middle Blocker calls out. 

"I got 2nd ball!" Kimika calls out as I understood. "Miyuki be ready!" 

"Right!" 

The other Coach blows the whistle as Shaira performs a jump serve. Natsumi gets it up as the Setter takes a step away from the net and sets up the Outside Hitter. Kimika calls out left as I moved to play defense. Kimika gets it up cleanly as Shaira was already there in the front row. I waited as the set comes to me. I hear Kimika calling out that there's 2 girls blocking. I went up and hit the corner but Natsumi jumps in the air and gets it up with her hands before rolling backwards.
