Fang's not as prideful as he may appear to be. He seems to be protective of his ego and self-esteem, but in reality, he is the most relatable character ij real life.

He's worked hard. He suffered a lot. Yet he doesn't get the recognition he deserved and the fame all points to someone who's done nothing to get his powers in the first place.

Sure, Boboiboy survived a spaceship and Adu-du, but does that really compare to Fang? He grew up not knowing the cause of their parents' death. He was raised under Kaizo without sufficient love and care. He betrayed everything he was familiar with for Boboiboy and his friends, but in Galaxy, they jabbed him to no end.

It may seem harmless, but to Fang, it's a very big impact. He's insecure. He has low self-esteem and he's trying to protect it. He tries to get the recognition he deserves, but in the end, the spotlight's stolen by Boboiboy.

When it boils down to Fang's most painful moment, to the point where they had to survive on consuming pillows and blankets alike, he was mocked. He was taunted. No one believes his pain he's endured.

Another strike hit on his fragile ego.

When Fang "betrays" Boboiboy and his team for the exam, not only does Boboiboy rage and not understand, he obliderates Fang. Even if Fang was his friend and he was just under orders, he attacked him as Fire nonetheless. Fang almost died to Boboiboy's hand, just because he couldn't grasp the concept that he was working under orders.

Despite calming down in the end, Fang never received an official apology. Sure, Boboiboy had given Sai and Shielda one, but not to Fang.

Come to think of it, Boboiboy DOES have a habit of jumping to conclusions. In season 2, he lines out Fang as jahat (evil) instantly even without context.

Even so, Fang remained loyal to them. He could have left, but he stayed loyal by their side.

Who's the mean guy here? Is it really Fang? Or was it Boboiboy?

Of course, Boboiboy cares, but his insults hit worse. You thought he would never insult anyone, but to Fang, bam! Or so you thought.
