Taehyung's POV -

Summer isn't always the nicest experience when living in Korea. The spring is a lovely season, when the flowers start blooming, the trees are full of leaves, there's a gentle breeze, and the sun is actually enjoyable to be in. Once summer fully comes around, the air is dry and full of dust, and the heat burns your skin. No amount of water can make it a fun experience. Sunburn is also really not a fun experience.

I'm a winter person, anyway. I love the snow, it's my birthday, and Christmas is time I can spend with my family and give gifts to the people I love. The dark skies make good photos, and there's less people walking around. Being inside, a soft blanket wrapped around my shoulders, and a mug of hot chocolate as I watch the snow flutter past the window is all I need.

The others don't tend to agree with me. Although they agree that the sun is just too much in the heat of summer, they love going out, and splashing around in outdoor pools and standing on the mountains. They hate tanning just as much as I do, but that doesn't stop them. Hoseok slathers everyone in sunscreen and they go off to enjoy their day, whilst I stay sulking in the house.

Maybe my dislike for the heat has come from my skin condition. I have something called cholinergic urticaria, where I get itchy hives all over my body when I start to get too hot. I used to get them all the time when I was a kid, and I worked on the farm with my grandparents. We went to a holistic doctor, who said it was cholinergic urticaria, and gave us a herbal cream that didn't work very well. I always got the rash on my face, and got bullied at school. I was so ashamed of it I refused to talk about it, and I haven't seen a doctor about it since.

I wake up sweating in my bed, the sheets thrown aside, my clothes somewhere on my floor. My skin itches and burns in random patches. Bright sunlight streams past the blinds, hurting my eyes and making me feel dizzy and disorientated. I sit up, scratching at my face. It always itches during summer.

I stumble off to the bathroom, giving the rash on my arm a scratch, and throw cool water onto my burning face. The boys obviously know I have a skin condition, and don't point it out or mention it to me, but I still feel ashamed of them seeing me. A bright red rash across my cheeks and nose isn't the most attractive thing in the world.

The water helps a little, but as soon as the water dries off, fiery itchiness covers my face again, and I scratch at it unconsciously as I make my way into the kitchen.

"Morning, Tae- Jesus Christ, put some clothes on, will you!" Seokjin screams as I open the fridge, and rest my nose on one of the shelves. I sigh as the coolness reduces the burning a little, but it's still prominently there, winding me up.

"Nice. Balls," Jungkook says as he walks past. He twirls a dish towel, and whips my ass cheek. I give a soft moan. I'm not really in a joking mood today. "Hey. The rash on your arm is really bad, hyung. Worse than it usually is."

I scratch it angrily, but Seokjin gently takes my arm, stopping me. "Jungkook, go and get his dressing gown. I don't really want to see penis with my breakfast. Taehyung, turn to look at me. Is it on your face again?"

I turn around, pouting, feeling both angry at Jungkook for pointing out the rash and at my body for not working properly. I'm jealous that the others can have skin that doesn't try to explode itself as soon as there's a little sun.

"Hm. Jungkook's right. This is a lot worse than usual," Seokjin says, frowning at my face. "That looks really sore, Taehyung. Surely there's a cream the doctor can give you to make it go down? If you keep scratching it then you'll end up getting scars."
