Hoseok's POV -

Despite my unusual amount of fears, I've never actually been afraid of flying. I guess my love for travelling the world has been greater than my habit of overanalysing every little thing and making it seem much bigger in my head than it really is.

Plus, we've been on so many planes in our lives that it would honestly be ridiculous to be afraid of it all the time. If I had to live in that much fear with my lifestyle, then I think I would have had a heart attack and died by now.

I think Jimin was the only one who ever had a little fright about flying. Jungkook and Seokjin had been on planes before when going on holidays, and Namjoon is too sensible to be afraid of anything. Fuck knows what was happening in Taehyung's head when we all got on a plane for the first time. Yoongi fell asleep straight away, but Jimin was quite scared.

He'd never been on a plane before, and he found the whole airport experience a little overwhelming. There were too many people for him to be comfortable, and too many checks and different waiting rooms. It made him much more anxious than he already was, and when he sat down on the plane finally, he cried a little.

He shook every time we hit turbulence. He couldn't calm down. He wouldn't even get up from his seat to go to the toilet, even though it was a very long flight, and he'd had a lot of coffee that morning. His leg kept bouncing, and he nearly threw up when we landed. He was the same for the next couple of flights, and then he finally relaxed, and got into the habit of having to fly everywhere.

Now that we have our own private jet to fly around in, things have been even better. As much as I love the fans, there's just that creepy handful that follow us to the toilets, and purposely barge into us so that we'll look at them. They try and follow us out to the cars afterwards, then have the nerve to complain and blame us when security push them away.

Even with the private jet, though, I definitely prefer to travel by car. It's cleaner, more comfy, and there's no strangers trying to do things for us. I love the little tourbus we get sometimes, if we do more than one concert in one place but in two different venues. I love being all cuddled up to the boys and caring for them and massaging their sore shoulders. It's just so much more relaxed than a plane.

I just wish that sometimes things didn't go wrong.

*

Security hustle us through the main reception, whilst hundreds of fans press forwards, trying to get pictures and touch us. We stay in a tight single file line, tripping up and keeping a grip on each other. The screaming is incessant, and the flashing from the cameras is making me feel a little dizzy.

We're allowed to go past the first check in, since the management call ahead of time, and we make our way through to the waiting room for gates. There's a couple more fans here, but nowhere near as many crowd around us, though there's lots of flashes. We get herded through here too, straight to our gate.

In the little waiting room, there's only three other people here. They're dressed in steward's uniform, so I reckon they're going to be joining us on the flight to America. They give us small smiles, but they don't initiate any form of conversation with us.

We flop down into the seats, and yawn widely. We've been up since the very early morning, so we can try and sleep through a lot of the flight. Namjoon lugs his computer around, whilst Yoongi goes into his own music world.

Jimin sidles in next to me. "Hyung, I can't be bothered."

"Me neither."

"Why does flying need to take so long? Can't America just get a little closer, so we don't have to be cooped up on the plane for so long?"
