"That's it, I'm quitting school." Torrin groans as He, Jade, Alyssa, and I leave Calculus.
"I'm with you," Alyssa adds.
"We didn't even learn half the shit that was on that test!" Jade sighs.
"I told you guys to study off of the textbook and not the study guide," I say.
"Oh shut it! Why would they call a study guide a 'study guide' if we can't even study off of it!" Alyssa yells.
"I'm just hoping he curves the grades," Torrin says.
Suddenly, someone's phone rings.
"Holy shit!" Jade gasps.
"What?" I ask.
"They're serving sushi for lunch!" Jade says while showing us all the text from her sister.
"Jesus Christ Jade, you scared me," Torrin says.
"Sorry but who's down to get sushi?"
"I'll go," Torrin says.
"I have to go get my lunch from my locker but I'll meet you guys at the table," Alyssa says.
Jade and Torrin quickly take off towards the lunchroom.
Alyssa doesn't waste another second before heading toward her locker.
"Ah ah ah wait up butterfly," I called out to her.
"What do you want?" She sighs.
"Am I still coming over later?"
"Wow, you're actually asking?" She says with fake shock.
"I always ask."
"Right...that totally explains the mini heart attacks I've been getting over the past week when I find you laying on my bed."
"Don't act like I'm not a sight to see," I smirk.
"You're not." She smiles before beginning to open up her locker.
As I wait for her, I stop for a moment when I see Owen and all the other guys on the baseball team.
They sent me a text telling me what I have to do to complete the bet.
-Get her to fall in love with me
-She has to say a genuine "I love you" to me in front of a large group of people to prove that I'm not lying about how she feels
-Take her virginity
-Break her heart...in front of everyone
I probably reread the list about a hundred times trying my best not to vomit at the fact that I'm actually doing this.
The more I get to know Alyssa, the more I'm starting to enjoy her company.
I'm beginning to really like her snarky comebacks.
